Oddly enough my grandfather used to sing this song to me when I was little...Lol..he was a character! He used to sing..."I love to go swimming with Bowl legged women and dive btw their knees...a yata da da a yata de da etc....He also used to sing Swanee River and songs like that to me...

My brother used to sing a version of "I'm Popeye the Sailor Man" the third and fourth lines of which were: "I like to go swimmink wit bald-headed wimmink...". Of course, all of the other lines were: "I'm Popeye the Sailor Man". According to my brother (of course, this was when he was about ten years old), the reference to "bald-headed women" was code for "women in bathing caps".

It is a WWII song as far as I know. My dad used to sing it all the time. He only sang it with that first part when we were little. But when we got older he sang what I believe is the second part. which was "if you know any ladies who want any babies just send them around to me" Thanks
