  • I dont think its a coinicidence that Moscow's subway cars were repainted to look like Montreal's. Way too similar. Think they have enough lights in the front of them?

  • that's true, if we are talking about average speed, Russian subway is the fastest subway in the world, but also it is very loud subway.

  • Sumptuous MOSCOW METRO

    /watch?v=dgiFJysMx4c

  • yeh, shriek of arriving and departing train is somewhat a feature =))

  • damn thats fast, sounds cool too, i want to go to moscow one day.

  • @me4Russia For a subway only? :)

  • now that is some speed!

  • Who made them soviet style trains anyway? I know they are 81/717 or something.... are they old? Seem to be popular in all the old eastern bloc countries.

  • They are built since 1976 at Metrovagonmash plant in Mytishi newar Moscow and Yegorov rail carriage plant in St,Peterburg. Head cars are indexed 81-717, middle as 81-714. Exported to East European ex-Socialist countries.

  • 81/717 not so old, cars ЕЖ type is old

  • @jaredini

    People made them.

  • Woooahh! Too fast lol. Reminds me of my days in London using the Victoria Line every day, noisy, but bloody fast, even when packed out!!

  • Victoria line is comparable but nowhere near as brutal. And it smells worse.

  • same like in praha

  • The sound is out of sync..

  • You dislike niggers? ))

  • Correction - up to 90km p\h on straight lines of tunnel, especially during the rush hour ))

  • What is the clock above the tunnel entrance for?

  • It's moscow time and time from last train leave.

  • What is the purpose of it? I can't see how it's any use to the drivers.

  • the passengers know, that an interval about half of a minute

  • Why would the passengers care about when the last train left, they want to know when the next train arrives!

  • In fact this clock is not for the passengers` uses. Exactly it for the driver`s need. When the trains were shorter the drivers could see this clock easy. Now they can do it harder (but they can!) So there are second clocks on some stations installed behind the first car on the level of the driver.

The wall clocks are still used by the station`s stuff in the cases where the trafic regulation is needed.

  • I MISS THAT SUBWAY!!!!!!!.

Nikon Coolpix

  • this is pushkinskaya station i think

  • Because Russia has the 9th economy of the world, the 7th GDP and the 3rd currency and gold reserve of the world, plus is the main energy supplier, the leader on the international aluminium and weapons market. Go fuck yourself, jealous Spanyard. You'll never join the great.

  • Exacto, tenemos Metro, tenemos industrias, hacemos avionesy bombas atomicas, vendemos petroleo y gaz natural.

    ;-)

  • Advocate, it seems to be very interesting that you dont have those where in your town

  • the 6 train in NY is exactly the same. People standing on the very edge of the train to get home.

  • With all due respect, #6 is nowhere near what you get in Moscow. #4 and 5 between Franklin Av. and 42nd. street can compare, but only 2 hours a day.

After my wife came back from Moscow (after her 1st visit) she said NY subway is empty compare with Metro. There you just have a lot more people using it

  • well, that´s much people, what if someone pushed another into the track?

weel, watch the swedish subway insteed, they are much better.

  • swedish subway is more comfortable i think =)

In the morning on road to university at the station I can enter only into the second or third train because it is impossible to get into a train )))

  • @botkyrkakillen don't judge so, it's imposible in russia to pull someone on the track, howewer the train driver can stop the train quickly, also there's a defense at end, to not allow people to fall so close to train.

  • that is crowded. where i live, we don't have those. we only have the Public Buses

  • Wow! That's some speed compared to the Sydney (Australia) trains that I've used.

  • Sydney trains seem slower as they accelerate slower. The average speed for the moscow subway is actually less than cityrail as it provides a metro service rather than a commuter rail service. =)

  • RUssian subways are the fasted in the world, they can accelerate up to 60 kilometers an hour.

  • well the london underground can go at 100kph and others can go faster than 60 so I don't think it is.

  • Russian is around 90km/h not 60km/h (that was back in the 60s)

  • As far as i'm aware the Moscow Metro has speed codes for up to 90km/h but it never goes above 80km/h, I heard that from a Moscow Metro expert!
