@ParaFrost He was heating the tires to get them up to temp. Otherwise you start off on cold tires and less traction. He just took it a tad too far. Watch any car racing other than drag racing (burnout does the same thing) and they will always saw the wheel back and forth before the race to build heat in the tire to get maximum traction when the flag drops. Otherwise it takes several laps before the tires git up to temp and perform well.

That being said, he's swerving back and forth with way too extreme of an angle a good bit before he loses it.

This wasn't a PS issue, this was an issue of a new racer not being aware of how fragile that back-end traction can be...no good driver would make turns with that much angle with expectations on staying on the road. The guy was a newb, he learned the hard way - live and learn.

I had a Camaro in that body style when it first came out. I kept it for a total of one year. In that year's time, I drag raced and was beaten by anything with wheels. It was the sorriest piece of crap I have ever owned. Nissan Altima--smoked me. Toyota Previa Minivan--smoked me. Toyota Pickup with an R22 4 banger--smoked me. When I got beat by a Volkswagen Rabbit I went and traded it in that day on the way home on a Full Size Pickup. Best decision ever. Oh and they hydroplane REALLY bad.
