  • I can walk on water - 6 months a year.

    I am Canadian.

  • Where has Dick Cheney been lately? Huumm???

  • Dick Cheney is a creepy bastard. Thats something I'm sure people on both sides of the fence can agree on.

  • In 1774, Rhode island passed legislation that banned the slave trade. In 1776 Delaware passed similar legislation, as did Virginia. In 1779, Pennsylvania, 1780's NH, RI, CT, and in 1799 NY, NJ passed legislation for gradual emancipation. By the time the constitution was written, Every state, except Georgia had passed legislation to end the slave trade. It is clear that many people in the U.S. didn't want slavery at the time, and we eventually went to war over it.

  • Its a known fact to anyone with half a brain that tens of thousands of people white and black abuse their welfare checks by buying drugs. What more do these poor poor ethnic groups need? The fact is most of them want to abuse the system, and grow to be lazy because they're used to a check, that they didn't work for every two weeks. On welfare for two years? okay. On welfare for 10 years? you are a lazy selfish asshole.

  • Maybe you didnt know this, but at the start of world war two, the US was not a super power. We did not have the ability to give social aid to people all over the world like we do now. We had an army smaller than most eastern European countries, and we were still in the pit of the great depression. I dont care what idiots like this guy, or you say because we are the greatest nation to ever grace the earth, and were losing that status thanks to people like you who want to "level the playing field"

  • I also think American exceptionalism is a good thing because we have set up the greatest republic the world has ever known, and for over a hundred years the USA has been a beacon of hope and liberty for all the world to follow. Our charity has known no bounds. We have given more to third world countries more than ALL other UN nations combined. I think America is an experiment in the ability of man to govern himself, and that is why we are the best.

  • @danwk7 American exceptionalism is a very, very dangerous thing. because it is self serving anf jingoistic come on look at slavery, civil rights and social welfare issues, Western betrayal, and the failure to aid Jews fleeing the Nazis. this is just a double standard

  • First of all, slavery is a stain on our history, but no nation is perfect. Dont forget that this country sacrificed hundreds of thousands of men to end slavery, and we were almost split in half. I dont know what "social welfare" issues you're talking about considering we give more handouts to the poor than any nation. In my opinion welfare should be limited, its a hand up not a handout. And failure to aid the Jews?

  • @danwk7 charity to 3rd would countries lmao, then why are they still in poverty,, why is poverty so high in our own country? America is a 3rd world country with more people, that is it. And America has stains that will never wash off

  • You think charity alone will bring a country out of poverty? If that's really what you think you're an idiot. Secondly, People in America enjoy the highest standard of living on the planet. Even our poor receive welfare, and a good percent of the use money to buy drugs and alcohol. I don't know what kind of stains your talking about, since slavery is something we inherited from Europe and England, and many states made laws that prevented slavery before the revolution even happened.

  • @danwk7 everything thing you just wrote down is complete denial bullshit, revisionism is fucking tragic. read a book on history before you pull this shit out your ass, facepalm.

  • Please specify what exactly is so historically inaccurate. Idiots like you just make a vague argument and expect that to hold water. Ive read more about history and politics than you or the dumb ass on this video have combined. So please masterful one, do tell what i should "read" about.

  • @danwk7 well, america did not invite the Jews fled when Hitler took power, Ethnic groups are still in poverty and the slavery/state laws is complete bullshit. the receive welfare to pay rent, and eat fucking food. lmao, before you talk about something get the complete picture rather than a stereotype, and slavery was outlawed in England & Europe 150 years before the civil war, so if your going to talk bullshit take it elsewhere. and for reading wiki history of united states

  • First of all, are you really suggesting that the US was supposed to know about the holocaust in the 10 or so years leading up to WW2? By the time we found out about it, it was too late for Jews to leave. You say it as if its our job to harbor refugees. Ethnic groups get programs like affirmative action, the CRA which gives them reduced rates on a mortgage and almost guarantees them a loan.

  • @danwk7 You think people in America enjoy the highest standard of living?? WRONG! We are not even in the top 10. Look it up. You are simply believing what you were taught growing up before the internet existed and allowed people to verify if what they've been taught is accurate. We are a conservative corporate machine with unchecked capitalism that is quickly spiarling us downward into a third world state, and Rush Limbaugh has you believing that it's a good thing.

  • @ossiezig8 Ohhh, and what exactly got us here? It couldnt possibly be the free market right?. And to say our standard of living in the U.S. is on par with other nations is actually hilarious, I doubt you would feel the same after a few weeks in china or india or russia. Fucking idiot.

  • @danwk7 Do your fucking homework before namecalling you moron. The top countries for standard of living per person are all SOCIALIST nations. That's a fact that's not up for debate...not my fault if your too stupid to utilize a search engine. Your nothing but a Limbaugh bobble head who doesn't have the capacity to do his own research and think for himself. The United States is NOT even in the top 10 for standard of living...haven't you noticed all the bankruptcies? R U that fucking oblivous?

  • Rumsfeld is another rere that somehow was able to get national office.

  • Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are war criminals- 5 million displaced Iraqi's, a million and a half widows and orphans, pre-teen Iraqi girls working as prostitutes in Syria to survive- all for a unjustified war. They let Bin Laden go at TB so they could have their bad guy loose, thereby having an excuse to use perpetual fear tactics on their own people. And Cheney has the nerve to say Obama is 'giving aid and comfort to the enemy'- the very definition of treason- when he is the traitor. Try them.

  • You dont know the first thing about Tora Bora so please dont spew your bullshit obout a subject you know absolutely nothing of. Read Dalton Furys book and then come back and say that stupid shit. Dumbass.

  • What are you talking about?? Even Fury says that the Delta unit plans to kill Bin Laden were nixed from the top. Look, I have nothing but respect for our guys in the military doing the tough jobs. I DO have a problem with how the Bush administration conducted the wars. And you should, too, if you were paying attention to what he was saying.

  • The red tape that prevented guys like him from getting Usama bin laden in the pakistan area was caused by guys like Barney Frank and liberalson the left, as well as conservatives on the right. Its not right to say its just republicans, when this is not a partisan issue. They are all in the same boat serving special interests and doing the politically safe thing.

  • Please supply me with evidence of Barney Franks involvement in this. You may be confusing him with Tommy Franks. Both Rumsfeld and Franks said there was no conclusive evidence that OSL was still in the region and called the persuit off. Bush was commander -in- chief at the time- he had the final word, not some liberal congressman. At the same time, some 'people of importance' were flown to safety into Pakistan. CIA reports "some dirt got through the screen". They let their boogeyman get away.

  • Ameican exceptionalism watching their manufacturing jobs go overseas...

America is following the lead of the UK becoming a once great but has been superpower.

We can only be a superpower if we are strong at home first.

  • opposed to...?

  • It really makes you wonder how many retards can become in office. Cheney was there, Palin almost made it. Geez, I'm getting scared! Soon Ted Nugent will be there.

  • At least Ted Nugent gives a rat's putute about the environment and the Constitution!

  • That guy is the real life Link from The Legend of Zelda.

  • Just because we're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get us!

  • ... They might be out to get us, but they are unlikely to use cartoonish supervillany to do it. Regular villainy is enough to fuck things up for us all.

  • Case-in-point; current events over the last eight years.

  • Cheney doesn't have to be behind the 9/11 attacks. The intelligence gained by the worlds most powerful energy companies could very well make the Mossad and former KGB blush with ignorance. They aren't so interested in military movements as they are the manipulation of whole governments and world events. Remember, they truely operate on the world stage and no one is looking at their balance sheets with a congressman on speed dial. Well, THEY have our congressmen on speed dial.

  • somewhere , any day of the week ,one "inter/national" "player"

from any country, is at curt on trial for bribery and stuff.

-the day they aren`t is the true new invention those are looking for, all day long in their laboratories and offices.

  • Cheney is way worse than you're saying. He's so awful that if you get into it then it will likely sound as if you want to drive the Republican Party into the sea with a flame thrower. This guy is one of the worst villains in history, and we know him.

  • No need to make up fairytales about him being behind 911 and bombings back in the 70s. He has lied his way to the top, lied to get into a war in Iraq, given lush no bid contracts to his own company, possibly was behind a lot of chicanery during the 2000 and 2004 elections,he manouvred his way into the VicePresidency by putting himself in charge of choosing the Vice President, and was instrumental in having Bush nominated, isn't that evil enough?

  • No fairytale dude Dangerously Evil is where Cheney is from and that is no fairy tale. You would be very taxed to explain sealing the files on the trial if that was not the case. And why would Arnold have his scholastic record alter to a degree from Superior Wi in 1980. Arnold was in LA making millions in steroids in 1980. In 1970 he was hanging out with Dickasss Cheney working on his "important" big fucker status.

  • Which trial are you talking about?

And Arnold Schwarzenegger made money from steroids, possibly, but they were not illegal at the time. All the bodybuilders, the pro wrestlers, the baseball players were using them. He was an ambitious man, he was working on a movie and a political career, so he would gravitate towards those who he thought may wield power in the future. That would include Cheney who was working in the Nixon Whitehouse.

  • Some people were tried for that bombing at UW. Cheney was working on a degree in that ugly bldg dodging the draft up to that time. I remember a photo of Arnold getting a degree from there at the same time. I remember because i graduated from there about 3 months earlier. The official history has been changed. It seems extremely odd that the governator would be attending a state school near frostbite falls (near Superior) when he had business in LA. in 1980.

  • Cheney is pretty much the modern American version of Hiterian politics. I don't think anyone could make me believe he wasn't the primary operative in the 911 demolition of the WTC. He was there at UW in 1970 when the his econ bldg was blown up. History has been altered and the case file of the trial sealed, but both he and arnold were being inducted into the GOP. or set up by israelis. They were there.

  • Smart Remarks nailed it again, 5 stars for DarthVadder.

  • Where have you been? That's been the 'joke' since 2000!

  • Lol, I've heard the joke.

  • Lord Vader? No, he is Davros.

The Far Right, led by Cheney, Rove, Roger Ailes, Limbaugh, are trying to foist ALL of the blame for the current problems onto Obama... Hell, they were blaming Obama for the current mess even before he was elected. If Palin is not nominated, then the general public may forget just how badly the US was led for the past 8 years.

  • "If Palin is not nominated, then the general public may forget just how badly the US was led for the past 8 years. "

Well gee, we don't want that to happen! Do we?

    Palin-Cheney 2012!

    dear GOD!

  • A horrible horrible thought, but one that is unlikely to be successful.

A Palin nomination may just split the Republicans and send them to oblivion.

  • Thus -- my subscription in the first place.

Far from conservatism, Former President Cheney is the quintessential post-modernist, who creates around himself a world that suits his own interests, and lives in denial of all that contradicts him.

Why don't Christagelical Evanjihadists see this for what it is?

    This Christian wants to know.

  • Because that's how evangelitards operate as well. Ever see Young Earth creationists in action?

  • yawn!

  • @ecwaufisxtreme obvious troll is obvious

  • obvious troll is oblivious, you mean...

  • Hi Gil, great report as usual.

Quick question: When would you say would be the best time in the Obama administration to evaluate how they are doing. When would be the best moment to "grade" Obama's performance as a president? Is it the second year in office, or the third?

  • I am not Gill but I would have to say at the end of the second at least. Maybe even the third since the mess he has to deal with is so massive. Then thats just me

  • Gil or not, I agree with you. However isn't i the case that elections for the senate are in 2010 and that is where conservatives could take back some of their power if enough people believe he is not doing a good enough job?

  • The improvement is there, though. America's reputation went up massively right on the day in November 2008 when he was elected, albeit because he was not Bush.

The biggest problem right now, is the massive obstructionist tactics being used by the Republican minority (plus a handful of Democrat senators). They have been working massively hard for special interests, blocking everything from healthcare to climate change legislation, an entire network is dedicated to harming progress.

  • His biggest problem is the obstructionist Republicans who are hellbent on stopping all legislation going through by any means possible, causing the whole procedure to slow to a crawl. If they regain filibuster power, you might as well shut the US government down for two years.

  • Indeed, and that is exactly what I am afraid of if the republicans can shift the focus enough on what hasn't improved over what has improved under Obama's administration.

  • The 2010 elections are more important than the 2008 elections. Because after Bush, the Republicans were NOT going to get in, even if the Archangel Gabriel himself was running.

However, in 2010, the Republicans have a chance to regain at least filibuster power, if not control of the Senate, and if THAT happens, two years of hard slow progress would be instantly erased.
