You now have to pay for your food and beverages onboard planes? It has been awhile since I last took a trip abroad but I didn't realise you had to pay for your food and beverages on long haul flights.

@tich302001 In my experience, on transatlantic flights (I flew with US Airways), its only alcohol you have to pay for, the meal is free.
But on internal US flights, you pay for food, but soft drinks are still free.
