Sorry about the late response, I can't tell you for sure, I only have my 1002ha now. both are exceptionally large, you would not be disappointed by either. one thing to note is the 1000ha touchpad is a bit textured and the 1002ha touchpad is more of a polished pad.

The 1002HA`s Vent is on the back so no need for it to be tilted to get cooler, the only drawback with this Netbook is the battery life :(

Hey mang! I just bought one of these on impulse, and I thought of some awesome questions for you:

1) How does real-life battery life compare to the 1000H*? Is it any better with a different OS like Ubuntu?

2) Is the LCD backlight the most power-hungry part of this laptop considering its size and the fact that it's LED?

3) Will Ubuntu need heavy configuring to fully function on this thing?

4) Are the aluminum parts solid aluminum, or is it just a veneer subject to nasty wearing?

1I would guess the battery life is better in a linux OS than windows since all the windows services aren't running in the background, I use bt3.

2No, I would say the all the small components eat the netbooks battery life such as webcam, bluetooth, ect

3Sorry I use BT3, only sound doesn't work, wifi and bt work well.

4The aluminum is very nice, actually thick. My palm rests look the same from when I bought it, so does the shell.

5Btw i'm thethered over bluetooth to my instinct, on the road. woot

I am in a 1002ha right now, it`s a very good netbook , 5stars, the keyboard is perfect also, the battery of 1000h works for 5-6 hours, the 1002ha is less heavier and battery runs for about 3,25hours in intense battery use, or 5-5,5 hours in power saving mode which is pretty good.

Some other good features not mentioned in video.
