  • HI you did not mention about the battery life of this Di866, please advice.. thanks

  • @ducados17 i've seen better, mine really burns through my batteries. but i only use rechargeables so I'm good...

  • does this flash fire wireless with a canon 600 d ???

  • Have you been able to fire the 866 independently (not being a slave) while not being attached to the camera? I.e. the cameras flash is closed while the speedlight is the primary flash?

  • @GrenadeOfKnowledge Well no, you need a way of triggering it... How is the flash suppose to know that you pressed the shutter release? If you don't use a cable or radio triggers the only other method using that flash off camera is through light, infrared like the ST-E2 or the internal flash.

  • omg it's edward furlong....... i see he no longer makes hollywood movies... just youtube ones

  • the camera is bigger than you

  • so how to update the filmware to the flashgun ?

  • @YouAreDead77 take flash. take pc. take cord. take cd. plug everything in and download the not yet available update.

  • Very Nice and Informative! Thanks!

  • Hi mate. Are there any benefits of using a Canon speedlight with the 7D instead of a Nissin? For example, do the 7Ds options integrate with the Nissin's settings ok?

  • @Mubble I did not have any problems with the Nissin, though some said that the Nissins output power varies from shot to shot, so one image might be underexposed, while the same shot taken seconds later was overexposed. rarely happens to me. of course you wouldn't have any troubles like that buying the canon flashes

  • @PhotogenicReviews - Ok, thanks mate.

  • So on the intergrate ST-E2 on the 7D I can fire the Di866 on ETTL-2?

  • @nicholas9916 exactly.

  • I like that wireless feature, i need to upgrade from my Di622

  • I've just brought one of these Flash units for my Canon 550D will I have problems with the remote flash, fantastic Video by the way

  • dayum that is a baddass camera, mine is 550D 18-135mm and im about to buy Di866 :D

  • @CtoiTheBulletDodger

Do you have any issue with Di866 and 550D so far?

  • @garwooi nothing at all, im now a photographer in club events. bouncing the flash is so effective

  • Hi! Does You Di866 body produce noise (like pitch or distortion noise) especially when the display is on.

    Thank you

  • @superkepin Yes, the flash is kinda noisy (as mentioned in the video).

  • @superkepin My DI866 makes the same noise from the body(I'm not talking about the noise from the motor then I zoom in and out)....I hope it's not baaaad!

  • @DeMuffinProduction the built-in flash of the 500D won't be able to fire the Nissin wirelessly.

  • This is a RICH KID

  • how much? what is much better? canon 580ex ii speedlite or this?

  • @fancyweezy The 580exii is still better (and way more expensive).

  • Thank you for interesting review!

What about use with inexpensive chines radio trigger like Cactus v4 or Yongnuo RF602?

P.S. In review on dpanswers-com says actual power of Di866 lower than specified in manual.

  • @uzverkmstube the nissin will work with the inexpensive triggers just as any other flash would. the yongnuo i heard isn't bad.

  • good try but next time have a script and stop fluffing on and on and on and onnnn

  • Thanks, really useful
