Adele and her sing completely different melodies, but as far as their actual voice, they do have similar qualities. Plug them into a spectrograph, and you'll see!

Amy has nowhere near as good of a voice IMO. She sounds like a man. I guess that's what you get from doing so many drugs. Adele has an amazing voice and a unique sound. British music is so much more soulful than American (Have you heard James Morrison, he is great as well) I wish that we could get the caliber of music that the British enjoy in the United States.
