My point is that there is crime in EVERY London borough. You can't go out at night and party on the streets at 4AM safetly, like you could do in Spain, for example. I would always advise people on safety, but I would never try to put off foreign visitors as if London is any less safe than Rio or Cape Town or Mumbai. I love London! I was there last October. The Tower of London is very cool. The HMS Belfast (floating Museum) is neat. The British Imperial War Museum ( I think thats the name) is worth seeing too. I loved riding the underground. I am going in December again. I can't imagine how cold it will be, but will still have fun.

This 24 Hours in London video is very unrealistic and totally not possible, I mean you're essentially covering an area of 4sqm in this video, and as I drive around London all day long, let me tell you this video sets some very optimistic goals! There are so many more amazing places to visit, "The City" in itself should have a day spent on it, St Pauls, Liverpool St, London Bridge, Monument, Tower of London...I've lived and worked in London all my life, it's a wonderful place to be

I love London as well, but for ENTIRELY different reasons (except for the regional dialects :P - I love ALL regional dialects of English with no exceptions. Accents are just pure fun for me).
And shiiit I've only visited probly 20 or 25 cities in the world... I've still got literally thousands to see... there can't possibly be a "best city in the world". There can only be favorites.

I happen to be a big NYC lover - does that make it the best city in the world just because I like it the most? No, it just makes it my favorite. It has something to offer me that San Francisco and Paris DON'T have. If I'm looking for something they DO have, I visit them!
What NYC, Boston and Philadelphia (my 3 fave US cities) have to offer me are their regional dialects of which I'm a buff (and native speaker of one :D), and early colonial history of which I just love.
But that's just ME.

I love London! I was there last October. The Tower of London is very cool. The HMS Belfast (floating Museum) is neat. The British Imperial War Museum ( I think thats the name) is worth seeing too. I loved riding the underground. I am going in December again. I can't imagine how cold it will be, but will still have fun.

I'd also say that London is a city in a Western nation, which means rich and poor living side by side; I don't think inequality or poverty is a uniquely British problem. in fact living standards for the poor are a lot better here then in most other countries, which makes Britain a target for immigrants. These overlooked immigrants are more than welcome to leave, in fact most native British would like them to.

In summer its like 100% humidity and ridiculously sweaty, in the winter its like -10.C. London is much more beautiful than NYC, NYC is just ugly boxy concrete mess.
