Johny's performance is pleading, but IMO Jacques pinnacle was in the performance which manifested such profound despair that he found refuge only in madness, like a father of a child killed, pleading that his beloved should come back ... promising her anything if only she would come back. This particular performance make me tear up everytime

it goes beyond mourning, or even self-pity. Jacques performance is as if his very existence is coming to an end. The image of a parent losing a child is the best I can convey the sentiment. Something far beyond losing a partner, even one to whom one has a manic attachment

can you understand how I feel, my point regarding the particular performance? Not all of his performances have this quality. It is a true work of art

très grosse émotion, il l'a chante magistralement et ne tue pas brel au contraire, brel la chantait avec sa voix et les moyens de l'époque et avec toute son émotion aussi, faut pas lui retirer ça, et notre boss lui l'a refait vivre avec tout son talent !!! brel doit être fière !!!

Fabuleux... C'est d'une naïveté insensée, presque stupide, et pourant c'est tellement beau, tellement fort... Johnny semble complètement ailleurs ; pendant cinq minutes, il n'y a plus que cette chanson qui existe. Merci pour la vidéo.
