  • wonderful warm sound on that bass of yours Dave. Is it autumn allready?

  • subliminal message?? a blue flash with a word at 10 sec to 13 sec jus a quick flash any1 else see it??

  • @TheJiphead

Its says "unrendered". That's not a subliminal message :-)

  • The tune is played in Gmin not Emin. Only people that have never gone beyond the old real book play it in Emin. If you go to a session, no horn player will call Autumn leaves in E minor- I suggest people learn it in Gminor.

  • ...parli troppo...

  • Theren is no doubt in my mind that when someone is trying to learn an instrument..they should learn the basics first. But where does the spotlight on being "creative".."unique"...different than others come in? Dave is without a doubt

a very accomplished (good) bass player. But, what technique...what "unique" approach to bass playing is being offered here?(I have listened to some of Dave's solo playing) Just about all "modern" day bass players copy each other! Where are the unique players?

  • Hej. man- This is electric basguitar!!!

So ... bla, bla , bla ... very teoretic expert. :-(

  • dude your irish

  • great video. it makes me wanna stop playnig music

  • after this video, god, give me some salmonella

  • brilliant lesson...havent learned all the inversions by heart yet but that 1st 3rd, 1st 5th advice was great...I feel i can start walking now!

  • this is brilliant! 5 stars

  • welcome to lesson it on walking bass lahns

  • This lesson seems a little more rudimentary then the arpeggio work preceding it. You might want to start with the 3rds and 5ths and then introduce the 7ths later. Just a thought. Thanks this has been a nice refresher for me on walking patterns.

  • agreed - though the lessons were jazz orientend, i thought he jumped to the sevenths a little quick

  • i know you probably get asked this a lot, but could you please tell me what kind of amp and strings you use?

  • look at his website

  • Hey Dave you have taught me the first tune ive ever played ........ thx. i just get lost when you get technical with all the g's & d's i dont knowall that, but i can jsut watch your fingers and just mimic. (thx again)

  • don't forget about chords that have a #5 in it! great lessons either way

  • Your site went down just when i was about to download walking bass lessons 7,8 and 9 any chance of emailing these three pdf's?

  • nice hair

  • @PocketGroove82 nice eyes

  • I enjoy your lessons very much. Even though my playing is more Bluegrass style, the principles you have taught help me understand and broaden my options as I apply them to my style of playing. Thanks you for doing this.

  • Lovely to see you again. Your lessons are top notch. Thank you.

  • You have without a doubt the best instructional videos available out there. I love the pdf's! I always look forward to the new lessons. I would like to see you cover Giant Steps after Autumn Leaves. Bossa Nova patterns would be cool too.

  • great
