This video was my introduction to your playing and singing, and now I'm hooked! Your arrangement, playing, and voice were beautiful. I didn't want it to end so I had to watch this video over again several times. How did you come to use the DADGAD tuning (dropped a whole step) on this song? I noticed that Chris Tomlin used a standard tuning, which he demonstrated in a video. You have a lot of feeling in what you do, and seem very inspired. I hope you continue learning and performing.

what a sweet comment. um i discovered this whole step down tuning when i watched a demonstration vid by Steven Curtis Chapman. he showed how to play "much of you". that was the tuning he used. i've never gone back. if you are anywhere near trenton, tx, i have a concert there this next month.

Chris! I'm stunned at your talent! I've been playing dadgad for 30 years now. There is no limit to the treasures in this tuning and you have definately brought out many of them in your songs. haha, yep. much of you tuning. very observant. yeah, all i use dominantly is versions of that tuning. there's just so much chord freedom and open ringing, it's a beautiful tuning that i've fallen in love with. if you like i can tab this one out for you.
