As a neighbour I wouldn't like a poor Greece beside us because before the crisis Turkey & Greece had good business relations. Turkey is also almost bankrupt for many years although we are 100 times more productive than Greece we don't blame others for our failure. You are so used to EU nurturing you that is why you are upset now. I didin't mean to offend anyone just wanted to share some facts thats all. we are not in a good situation here either

Sadly,none of the only three viable solutions to the problem could ever be contemplated by our un-elected masters in Brussels :
1.Germany leaves the Eurozone and sets it's own interest rates with the New Mark.
2.Greece leaves the Eurozone and sets it's own interest rates with a devalued Drachma.
3.The IMF are brought in.
That's post-democratic Europe folks !

I doubt that you have ever been to Greece nor do you know any Greeks. I work 50 sometimes 60 hours a week to support my family and have a relatively good standard of living. I have been to Canada and have seen the homeless sleeping on the streets and the black kids standing around on street corners selling drugs. before we had an influx of foreigners we were ok.

Canada is the only country in the Americas where the natives have full control of large land parts...so if any construction, mining and other land uses are to be sanctioned the Native Indians have to approve it before hand. so they have pretty much autonomous control of land. @fanzig0 I work about 40 hours a week...If I worked less I would be bored...but I guess I don’t have the”greek; fat, lazy, stupid” gene in my body so I am happy. Second you don’t have a good lifestyle you are just boring against your kids future. When they grow up they will have much much lower wages, and at least regular work hours compared to the civilized world, but probably more. @fanzig0 Another thing not many North Americans go to greece for vacation...they might go onece and never comeback once they realize it nothing but rocky/jagged beaches, crappy customer support because the locals are lazy...etc. NA prefer scenic white sand beaches found in Mexico, Australia, Hawaii...etc. Also the only news we get from greece and vacations are about people stranded on small islands because the fat lazy greeks are striking. They can be kicked out using a simple contract law argument. They misrepresented their position on joining - therefore they should be treated as if they never joined. It might cause a short term mess - but long term it is much better.

The only reson they paid it back though, wasn't because they are more honest than Greek politicians, it was because they all got caught with their hands in the till.
