  • Dope

  • Damn ! We need to hire some Klingon pest control, pronto ! :-)) What if the Tribbles start munching on the indigenous wildlife while it's still alive ? The horror ! :-O ;-)

  • XD!! Tribbles got to Earth already??? That's really funny!! Very cool video!! Congratulations!!! :D

  • Thats' freakn' hilarious. You had me for a minute everything is so convincing. All you guys down there must get really bored because I do see a lot of these videos. I can't wait to head down there my self as a Firefighter

  • Can you say Trible?

  • what is foe fur?? is that an animal? how is it called?

  • Is it really possible to say "Friend or Faux"? I know the French term, I only know "Friend or Foe" though.

    "Enlightenment" appreciated ^^

  • Wow.. Tribbles actually originated in Antarctica.

I wanna know how other entries into this contest dealt with the "wanna buy a dog?" question. how would I find the other contestant videos?

I would love to spend a sunless Winter in Antarctica. where do you sign up?

More importantly, do they allow booze at McMurdo? If I were spending a winter, it might be vital (don't make me go to the Russian station!)

  • @crowTnelson1 Have a look at my blog "frozensouth" for links to the other videos.

Look for jobs by googling "USAP jobs".

There are a couple of fully stocked bars at McMurdo, but you can only buy beer or wine to drink outside the bars.

  • @Antzarctica

Thanks a bunch! I'll check it out...

Also, would you know if tourists are allowed to visit the facility for any length of time? Or, could I pay ("donate") my way into a winters stay at this particular base? I think a stay at a Russian facility could be a payment away... Just wondering if the main American base would accommodate a "pay to play" guest.

Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything... I hope my questions aren't taken as bad form or anything. Thanks for listening..

  • @crowTnelson1 Tourists only get to visit if the cruise ships can make it that far south through the seasonal ice. We will show them around the base, give the a guided tour, then send them on their way. No staying overnight.

  • Next April Fool's Day, you should retitle this video "Faux Fur scandal" and send it around to folks and see if you can trick 'em :)

  • sooo...what were these "faux" made of (in reality, not per the movie)

  • They are genuine 100% faux fur.

  • @Antzarctica you are kidding right? that is not an animal, that is a joke video!

  • @Olebrucanism yes, it is was made for fun as part of the winter film festival.

  • The 'Tribbles' from star trek were clearly professional acting Faux.

  • I hear they share a distant ancestor with the elusive Tofurkey. Any truth to that?

  • lol ... too funny ... reminds me of the old Star Trek Tribbles

  • Good to see Joel representing for the PC Tech Shop even if he chooses to remain anonymous with his face blurred out.

  • lololol!!!!

  • 5/5 :]

  • The packet of M&Ms at 4:30 is cheaper in Antarctica than at a vending machine in the US. :D (Roughly $1?)

  • Very funny Fauxs (or um, tribbles)! :)

  • Of course the idea for tribbles came from Robert Heinlein's "Flat Cats", and that idea came from the writings of the early Antarctic Explorers ;-)

  • Nice to see you Lou in the video.

It's 103 degres here in Vegas.

    Bye bye

    Philippe

  • This was very entertaining and funny, thank you!

  • This brings to light the cruel trade and exploitation of our ignorance, with regards to the Faux, by the fashion industry. When will it end? How will it end? Time will tell.

  • Brilliant ! Love your sense of humour, just such a pity you don't post more!!

  • Once again, trouble with tribbles, lol. omg, we are bored.

  • It's not just the fashion industry that's at fault. The furniture business pushed the Nauga to the brink of extinction in the 1970s and 80s.

  • This was great! So long since an update from you!

  • Reminds me of Star Trek Tribbles. :o

  • Esta claro que os afecta el frío de la Antártida!!, Jaja.

This one is clear that the cold of the Antarctica affects you!!, Jaja.

  • Strangely familiar these critters, think I saw them in a 70's 'science' show!

  • And they appeared in a book by Robert Heinlein back in the 1950's too.

I think both writers were probably influenced by rumors and stories told by the early antarctic explorers.

  • lol
