  • Under the current Code; Produnova would've won. The controversy is why the FIG decided to go for an open-ended scoring system. Not everybody likes it but, it's more fair than a closed scoring system.

  • she looks like a bumble bee

  • i vote produnova best front tumbler of all time lol ridiculous

  • @rballetton and frazman309 It's actually called Hernando's Hideway.

  • "And here's her one back tumbling pass, and she doesn't do this very well. Let's see if she can land it."

Dear commentator, shut the fuck up.

  • @frazman309 it's a variation on "tango d'amour"

  • She deserved gold.

  • Wasn't Produnova in Sabae in 1995? If so, then why didn't she go to the Olympics in Atlanta? Was she too young or did she get injured?

  • She got injured. Her heel, I believe.

  • GREAT ROUTINE!!!

  • Produnova Rocks!

    Awesome routine!

Does anyone about her current whereabouts?

  • you've only seen Nastia Liukin

Complete that pass ? almost all the ukrainians use double front from handspring.

  • Handspring double front i,ve only seen Nastia Liukin

    Complete that pass before

  • Jaycie Phelps performed that tumbling pass at the 1996 Olympic Games. It was used as her open tumbling run.

  • Yeah... And Lilia Podkopayeva dominated with it, and also added a half twist to it...

  • Alina Kozich, Produnova in 2000, and Alona Kvasha did this skill out of a front layout which was a extraordinary spectacle to watch. Also Lilia's double front 1/2 is cool.

  • Karpenko anyone?

  • @sjpavlova only before Karpenko

  • Alina Kozich, Produnova in 2000, and Alona Kvasha even did double fronts from a front layout which was a spectacle to watch. Also, Olga Sherbatykh had a double front in her routine. All of them, except Produnova, were Ukrainian.

  • She finished 3rd! The judging throughout the whole competition was just outrageous! Gina Gogean won 2 gold medals that day when gymnasts like Elena Produnova and Kui YuanYuan clearly outperformed her on both FX and BB! What a gift! This was an AMAZING routine, it should have won hands down!

  • I said the same exact thing. The most injust thing about all of it was that Khorkina came in second with her Shushunova and beat hump landings. It was all a farse. I would say Kui gave it away on BB with her steps and wobbles, but on FX there is no reason why she came in third.

  • @Darkangel127 I agree and Khorkina who finished 2nd behind Gina on both beam and floor, also clearly outperformed her on both events.

  • super!
