It may surprise some people to know Greg Weisman originally envisioned this as a comedic adventure series similar to Gummi Bears. DEMONA was actually the leader of the Gargoyles, Xanatos was an evil wizard, and there was no Goliath character.

Besides Keith David's epic voice in the intro, the music is just amazing. It fits perfectly and sets such a dark and powerful atmosphere. It really makes me sad that a cartoon even close to in the same league will probably never come out.
