It's called 'dumb TV' or as we know it 'modern TV'.
Dumb everything down, patronise the audience, insult their intelligence and inform them of absolutely nothing but utter garbage and rubbish. Example is talking about Italian Lisa. Anybody with a modicum of a braincell will know that Italy moved to the Euro 8 years ago in 2002. However, they still continue to 'dumb' things down for their audience.
The same applies to all Reality TV and modern TV in general now.
