  • I bought this record when I was only 11. It was my very first rock 'n' roll album, and I had only been interested in Baroque music until I let the voice of Meat Loaf fill my soul. This song was my favourite on the album, and it changed my life forever. In a year and a half I will be packing my bags for Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Thank you for everything Meat Loaf.

  • Jim, are you okay?? you don't sound to good lol just a joke meat loaf fans

  • bat 3 was a good album, yes there was no jim stienman which is why half the album rocks but doesn thave the same feel 2 it, the other half were songs that had bin written for the ill faited second album that meat wasnt able 2 do due to his vocal probs. but to all those who bitch about the lack of steinman etc why dont you look at the back cover where it says its a dedicated to the friendship of meatloaf and jim steinman.

  • un duo interesante....pero meat loaf no es nadie sin jim steinman

  • @foreigner666 Escuchaste Dead Ringer?...

  • You know what though? I always wanted to hear Meat's version of it. Would love him to do a remake of Steinman's album. It won't compare because of nostalgia for me personally, but will be a great addition. Meatloaf rocks!

  • It's alright. The version from Steinman's album was much better, but I may be 100% nostalgically biased ;)

  • 47 fans & 1 wanker.

  • @drummer4theperish would that be you?

  • @sp0ng No your mom does that for me.

  • Apparently this song was under Meats eye more then any song on Bat 3. Was it fuck, this is awful, an embarrassment to Meat and mostly to Jim's brilliant song. And who the fuck does he think he is changing Jim's lyrics, Jim never have let him done that had he been making the album with him,

Of all the wrongs Meat has dealt to Jim over the years, this is by far for me the worst one. fuck Meat Loaf, long live Jimmy.

  • @kutzbill

No talent? Buddy, you don't know who I am or know a single thing about me,fact is, I love Jim Steinman songs, this was one of his best and it's being butchered here

I know full well who Meat Loaf is, Meat Loaf is a talented singer who pretends he understands Jim's songs, when his actions portray that he actually doesn't have a clue, the fact that he got a second rate no body like Desmond Child to make a fake Bat out of hell album shows just how much creative integrity he has

  • @torchwood11 I don't have to know you. If you had talent you would have us watching your vids and not commenting on others. Even Jim said Meat Loaf sang his songs better than any body else. Let me know when you put out your version of Jim Steinman songs so I can see how much talent you have, OK? Being burchered is YOUR opinion, I like it, MY opinion. Either one and $1 will get you a cup of coffee at McD's

You just make me laugh now.

  • @torchwood11 dear one mmmm i dont know who you are but i think you need to get informed before you talk jim steinman made this song for meatloaf as all others he do not pretend nothing really if you dont have nothing good to say dont say nothing meatloaf rocks if you dont like it dont hear it that is it

  • @torchwood11 dear one mmmm i dont know who you are but i think you need to get informed before you talk jim steinman made this song for meatloaf to sing it as all others he do not pretend nothing really if you dont have nothing good to say dont say anything meatloaf rocks if you dont like it dont hear it that is it i think you are stupid if you think the album is fake

  • @torchwood11 dear one mmmm i dont know who you are but i think you need to get informed before you talk jim steinman made this song for meatloaf to sing it as all others he do not pretend nothing really if you dont have nothing good to say dont say anything meatloaf rocks if you dont like it dont hear it that is it oh and i think you are stupid among other things if you think the album is fake

  • @lunamar78

Jim Steinman has written songs for other artists, alot of them for women and written from a female perspective. unless there's something Meat isn't telling us, he damn well cant sing those songs :). Jim wrote this song for Meat but then Meat lost his voice, I for one am glad of that as I love Jim's voice on Bad for Good. The album IS a fake malbum, fake in the sense it's called Bat Out Of Hell 3 without the involvement of Jim. Jim IS Bat Out of Hell, he's what make the albums great

  • @lunamar78 (Cont) not Meat, This album didnt work without Jim, but it could have worked without Meat

  • @torchwood11 Meat and Jim have always had a love/hate relationship. Who does he think he is? HE'S MEAT LOAF you dumb fuck. If you don't like it, don't listen to it.

I love how no talent hacks like you have to sit in their underwear and do a critique. Like you say anything anybody else wants to hear.

    STFU.

  • meat loaf and brian may how can it not be good

  • OKAY NOW THIS IS JUST WRONG this song Belongs to Jim Steinman and this is just a bad ripoff i know that Meatlof and Steinman worked together but Steinman maked the music and he also sang this song on his album BAD FOR GOOD and that version is just on a whole new Level

  • @DeFavel Jim Steinman had to give permission for Meatloaf to even record the song. So to say that Meatlaof ripped Jim in any way is speaking from ignorance.

  • I'm a big fan of Meat Loaf and have great respect and reverence for Brian. I was dying to hear Meat Loaf's version of this song and I don't like how this song came out. Would be so much better if Jim Steinman had produced it.

  • @wencastmac That's exactly how I feel. I don't like that they did it without Jim's ever-watchful eye, and I hate even more that they didn't even do the full song. Instead of being another Jim/Meat Masterpiece, it's just a sub-par rip-off.

  • You ever have a moment when you think "How can anything be better than this?" Yeah, I just had one of those.

  • @buffypython So did I. And my answer was along the same lines as wencastmac. This song just lacks that raw edge typical of Jim Steinman's involvement. Brian May is an awesome guitarist, and I'm a Queen fan, but I'm sorry to say he ruined this song. I listen to this and feel slighted.

  • meatloaf rocks

  • Meat Loaf - incredible!

  • the digitehch pedal, is used in this track?

  • @msobrevia I red that Brian prefers to overdub guitars on several tracks when he records. He only uses harmonisers on stage.

  • @edmatper no, he used the pedal for the studio track, really. i wasn't sure if this was the song, but now I am

  • BRIAN MAY AND MEAT LOAF !!! ROCK!!!!

  • My main wás Freddie withou Queen it was impossible, Though Brian May was a briiliant guitarits Freddie was the soul of Queen.

  • Since when was this a Queen song?

  • It's a Jim Steinman song ;)

  • @hippyandchicky

It's not a queen song, it's a Jim Steinman song recorded by Meat Loaf for Bat out of the Hell III album, Brian guested on it.
