Thanks so much, its been such a hard time getting him to where he is today and i have not had lessons for years so its green v green and i think we are doing ok so far. I Hate seeing young horses schooling and schooling and not having some chill out time and going for a nice long hack, i have seen a lot hear on youtube and i dont think thats right. yeah i have to say my pony (whos not a youngster but has the mental age of one due to doing nothing for 10 years) has calmed so much since I've been able to take her hacking on her own and shes become so much more relaxed. Does wonders just ambling around fields :)

I am not sure what i want to do, i lack in confidence when it comes to other people's horses after the accident i had with Lewi last year. I did go work in America 3 month's over the summer (she found me on hear) and i loved it, but there is no money in horses, so i keep getting told. We are hoping to move to our own land so i may do some teaching as i really enjoy it, and get some brood mares and a section A stallion like i always wanted :P

Thank you. I have always been really into this breed as my mum used to have them. I got my first when i was 15 and she was a 5 month old filly. Then i got him in 2008 and i love my mare but she's not the old type like him, he has amazing hocks and i just love his action.

hes just being a pain in the bum at the moment, thinks he is the big boy and we all have to do as he says lol. He went like this last year, not as bad but he soon came right in the summer lol. He walked past the ducks as good as gold today and then as soon as we got close he jumped on one (poor thing) he likes to look the other way when passing a person then all of a sudden runs at them. BAD PONY LOL

Thanks. I have to watch my videos of him every day to remind my self what he CAN be like when HE wants to lol. He is hard work and even worse this time of year with out a school to work him in. I have turned him away again but i think i might only give him 6-8 weeks off because he is getting bored with out work, but is to dangers to work at the moment. I love him loads and really looking forward to showing him and getting him fit again.

Thanks. In fact hes gone right back to his old was. This was all after i turned him away for half the year so i haqve decided to turn him away for the rest of winter and bring him back when its safer to ride in the school and field.

Thanks. He is by GWENLLAN BOSSY out of GWENLLAN SAM so has some top top breeding in him, hence the true to type action. I got him from a lady but he was from the Llanidan stud on Anglesey.

I've just got a little blue roan welsh mountiain pony stallion, hes only 4 and hes been neglected beforre we got him- ive had him for about a month and im the only one who can get a brush over all of his body :S and my friend just got a sec d filly whose 17 months and a bit 'strong' :S

Good luck and you better show them WELSH PONIES RULE!!. You keeping him a stallion? I wish this gelding was a stallion, acts like one but has no balls.

I backed my filly young because she has locking patellar and it was the best thing i have even done even when people said it was wrong, it has turned out for the best for her. My gelding i got at 3 so backed him then. I start from youngsters by mouthing and tacking up or leaning on them, you could get on a well built 2 and a half year old.

Your stallion will only make around 12hh because thats the hight they are meant to be. So long as your not heavy thats fine. I am now 8 stone but used to be lighter when i had my 12hh pony and i was 17 and 5ft6 and still rode him

YES mouth them if your walking them on the roads. I used to take millie ever where in a head collar from a 6 month old foal untill one day as a yearling a motor bike came past and she went crazy and i got draged down the road and i let go and the person on the bike tried to pass her as she was lose and Millie just bolted off. People tried to catch her but i could see she was going home. Thank god she waited for me at the end of our drive after galloping down a hill towards me SCARY.

My poor baby is out of action and feeling very sorry for him self. Hoping the vet can come give him some butte to help with the pain in the morrning. He has just thrown a nice big splint on his right leg, i am guessing from prating around in the field or rearing and spooking every day on every ride.

He is ok and am sure will be back to him self in a month or so. Hes a fighter.

its around $5,000 because i have just spent the summer in New York and the lady and a few others said its around that much. My mares half brother was imported to canada as a foal, he was up for sale but i think he has been sold. If you save and you really want one the person who bred this horse imports them to America. Just keep saving because most breeders now days do it. XXXXX

yes that should do her the world of good. Millie hated time off shes the type of stress head horse thats only happy when shes moving, my god that mare weaves like crazy and box walks every morrning. I would keep her out if i could but she weaves in the field if she wants to come in. Lewi loved time off and has come back so much better

I have been schooling him every other day for the past week on the beach. (Him on day and millie the other) He is being a star and loves that plastic flexi bit. I took him down this morrning and i never thought i would ever feel the rush of him flat out galloping again well i held him back for w while and canterd all the way down the beach then on the way back i let him canter then made him walk just to make sure i could stop, then i put my hands to his ears. he has only been to one ridden class and he had been off for 8 months and i had only been home 2 weeks before the show so he only had two weeks under saddle. He ran his little heart out but the class was full of stallions and older mares and geldings so he was unplaced out of 15. Next year i wont be going any where i will be showing him most weekends in both dressage and jumping then showing in the summer. xx

WELL........ i got the playboy bunny of a web page and i cut the heart and stars out from a plastice milk carten. I drew the shapes and cut around them lol but even better i used glue to keep them in place as i clipped around them lol AM SO CLEVER
