Gun stores are the main place for "dishonest" people get their guns very easily from gun stores. The same place where "honest" people get them. They have completely banned guns for civilians in Japan and have seen a drastic decrease in violence.

In USA the word "Liberal" has been hijacked by social-democrats. In Europe liberal parties are pro-market. Yes, parties like german FDP or dutch VVD are not religious freaks or anti-gay, but they certainly are more pro-market and pro-competition than US democrats. For example, they don´t defend single payer education and healthcare.

In Europe liberal is mostly a centre position. They defend both market and personal liberties. There are some liberal parties that look like social-democrats (UK LibDems) and others are quite radical (dutch VVD or swiss LPS). Liberals are between conservatives and social-democrats. In most euro countries they tend to come to agreements with conservatives and demo-christians, but sometimes rule with the left (Germany in the 1970s)
