I am not sure what the deal is with her lying about her age, but I am guessing it's because girls who are still trying to model beyond the age of 25 are considered "useless." My family and I grew up with "Sunisa;" her parents and my parents were friends, so their kids and my siblings all hung out and got along. But yes, she is not 21. She is probably 31 or 32 by now. Her family is about as Cambodian as they can get -- I don't recall them ever mentioning anything about Thailand. It's entirely possible that they took refuge at a camp at the Thai border before coming to the US, but that does not mean she is Thai.
