  • fucking amators

  • Not much confidence there...

  • And that's why trucks in the US have an engine larger than a V6 and also two sets of drive wheels instead of just one

  • @xXUSMCGRIFFXx The engine power wouldn't help .. you would just spin your tires and make the road even more slippery.

  • @realdimension No, but more powered tire sets, chains on all driving sets, and more weight over the tires would help...Ever see Iceroad Truckers? They all use US styled trucks with two sets of powered wheels and larger engines, they don't use Man, Mercedes, or anything like that

  • @xXUSMCGRIFFXx That does make sense .. Also, US styled trucks just _look_ better, too xD

  • @realdimension Logic for the win!

  • @xXUSMCGRIFFXx u don´t now nothing abaout trucks of europe because the most powerfull engines are from mercedes and volvo so abaout the axels we also have those but because the limit of 16.5 meters we use one axel .

  • @azoreano30 The Mercedes-Benz Actros (the one in this video) has a horsepower range from 310-460 and the Peterbilt 389 has a Cummins ISX15 which has a horsepower range from 400-600. So looks like the MB does not have the most powerful engine when compared to the US ones which pull much more freight and much heavier machinery. The extra axle also helps with traction and helps put more power down on the road

  • Snow chains are used for Ice too...

  • ASR off !!!

  • thats how every norwegian roads are filled with in the winter. alot of truck drivers how have no idea how to drive in the winter.

  • @tr3kker At least we have our local roads =)

  • это вообще не снег даже..

  • POS Mercedes Rig. Get a damn Peterbuilt.

  • @Saxmachine345 i can honestly say ive never seen a peterbuilt truck in any part of europe, its pretty much all flat front lorrys, Mercedes, MAN and Scania are the most common, easier to manoeuvres around the small European roads and roundabouts

  • also there is a limit to the length of truck+lorry. so a shorter truck means more capacity.

  • 'moving with confidence' ..lol

  • imagine yourself under those wheels and they are just smashing your balls xd

  • it would help if he steered straight, and didn't drive in snow banks. i spend all day at work digging trucks like these out lol

  • '

this truck can use 4X4 with chains on snow

  • The weight is probably on the rear wheels of the trailer, when it should have been over the trailer king pin. Must be a liberal, they aint very smart!

  • @3Mudbone1 Stand by for more inane comments.

  • look at the road beside him in 0:35 its bare

  • get a deuce

  • Man wouldnt it be nice if someone would invent a truck with more than 1 drive axel..

  • Put chains on all 4 drive wheels, not just the outers. Sheesh, the way you have it now, the inners are supporting the truck on ICE while the others are barely hitting the pavement.

Also, not sure but it looks like you're up against a curb on the driver's side, doubt you're going to climb that any time soon.

  • SHOVEL you lazy bums.

I would have had you out of there in little time.

Shovel away resistance in front of all wheels.

Sand, or cat litter, under and in wheel track.

No sand? Dig dirt and gravel.

Steering wheels straight as possible. (You did starighten them later.)

  • my top 6 usless comments are

    (1) pull the hitch hpin and drive to the nearest bar .

    (2) call the AA or rac .p

    (3) keep reversing till you its really really stuck .

    (4) look for a farmers tractor .

    (5) hibernate in cab till spring time .

    (6) go mad cry and curse then ask the boss why dont we have better chains like they do in alaska i do watch iceroad truckers you know !

  • moving with confidence my ass lol

you my friend need a set of 3 railers.

  • I would floor it until 1 of 3 things happened:

    A. I got out.

    B. I dug a hole in the ground until the axle touched the road.

    C. i ran out of diesel.

  • "Moving with Confidence"

  • @flahr1 its not moving with confidence now :(

  • needed a set of triples not singles...

  • thats why i live in the u.s.a. where they are built, and you dont hahaha. but i will admit, i would rather have a mercedes like that truck over one of there street cars anyday, i fucking hate the sedans and shit they have.

  • chains on one wheel wow

  • you need better truck.....better driver.....better country...nuff said.. douche....

  • I love the fact that it says 'moving with confidence' on the sides of the cab lol

  • well your first mistake was using a piece of shit mercedes! get a peterbuilt!

  • @miketheredneckable They don't sell them in Europe, you dumbass.

  • und solche ochsen machen unsere straßen kaputt, klasse leistung!

  • having snow chains on the outer tires only is illegal ...even in switzerland...but the again...seeing a brit with a semi in the alps and its winter...sort of tops it off.

  • gosh that must be terrible

  • your truck had to many unpowered wheels with weight on them for the chains to help alot

  • Need more tires... lol

  • they make a barbed chain for ice.

  • Triples should have, doubles are running only so long that you don´t have to stop.

  • the problem with this is the operator did not have the proper chains for this vehicle he should have bought three railer chains the problem with this style of chain on a dual application is the outside tire (chained ) will scrub the snow and ice out and leave the compacted snow and ice under the inside tire and it will leave you stranded every time on a hill

  • Just floor it, the chais will cut through the ice sooner or later

  • but it will damage the chains

  • First thing that truck needed was somebody that can drive. Had he been running a set of Triples instead of singles he would been able to get it moving.

  • Single chain on duels and single axle tractor not an ideal setup, but then maybe they do not have snow that often.

  • Hmm ok I'm in the market for some good chains:( I live in the USA in a state where we get a lot of ice... Are you telling me the smow chains only work for Snow not Ice? Cause your video shows it's on ice but it's not working what do you think i need for ice do they even make ice chains for a pickup truck? Thanks for the video it made me think a lot but raised lots of questions that I hope you can answer thanks

  • You need next generation snow chains.

    Check the video response.

  • @chalk246delta snow shains do fine all the way around i live in va and i deliver pizza in a rear wheel truck, and i use snow chains.the work wonderful, the last time it snowed it was 14 inchs deep and i hardly even spun the tires

  • I'm thinking like tsjkj said, not enough weight. Was it empty?

  • More power.

  • Somebody give me a push!!!

  • not enough weight...

  • Comment removed

  • I think it's due to the ground surface and the load of the truck. Putting more weight on these wheels should improve the grip.

Next time, try put something (sand, or whatever) on the front of the weels so that it can "start" on a good surface. Then, since it's rolling it should be OK, unless you stop it again...

  • hehe that will happend when he useing it on the roads when its not any ice or snow. =)

  • That sucks, chains are chains, snow or ice.

  • True and not true, some chains have steel spikes on them to get better traction on ice.

  • put chain on both wheel

  • You need better chains
