  • Thanks for uploading, I only had the short version that was on the final hey hey show...this is great. good quality!

  • This was one of my Favourite moments in Hey Hey. I thank you so much for uploading this. How could anyone dislike this. There voices are fantastic and together they are amazing.

  • It's a damn shame that these two great singers didn't do more duets together. They have a real rapport going. Both singers are great on their own, but together they could have done something very special with an album. A real pleasure to listen to them.....the yiddish song was well done....actually bought a tear to my eye.

  • This was amazing.

  • im a big fan of hey hey & this was 1 of my favourite moments ever on the show, you can see the admiration on toms face when john starts singing....brilliant

  • that wonderful woman who's gone away.

  • Fabulous!! Thanks for uploading it. Great to see this once again 21 years later !!!

As i recall Tom did a lot of TV appearances on his 1990 Aussie tour. Do you have the Ray Martin show !

  • TOM JONES!!!!

  • tom jines its best

  • I love this small but memorable moment in Australian Live Television history! I was 12 when I saw this, and I never have forgotten it. Thank you so much for putting up the work up to this wonderful, Spur of the moment, and totally unrehearsed moment that so many enjoy! I love watching John Farnham, how much he is enjoying Tom's singing, so engrossed into it that he was surprised and in awe when Tom handed him the reins! Go John! You're my Idol and always will be! Can't wait till Oct 11! cya m8!!

  • Wow what a song. Tom was the boss - but catch that moment when he smiled in respect of John's effort. That alone worth another, final, am I crazy last tour Johnny...

  • @MrBlake7373 The warmth these two great singers feel for one another is palpable. John would have been a schoolboy when Tommy was touring with the Beatles and having gorgeous young things throwing their knickers onto the stage. No doubt he was practicing The Green Green Grass of Home in his bathroom before his voice broke. In fact, he was probably doing it in the Old Country before his family migrated to OZ. Note how Tommy puts his hand on the younger bloke's shoulder. Lovely to watch.

  • we are not worthy - a moment in australian television unsurpassed - thank you

  • I was eight when I first saw this live on TV in 1990 - it gave me shivers then, and still does. Fantastic.

  • "I can't go on, you finish it, Tom!" XD

  • Tom is the man ;-)

  • Shame they don't speak yiddish! They seem to be singing When Irish Eyes Are Smiling with Italian accents!

  • THANK YOUUUUUUUU!!! this will never ever get old!

  • Thanks for the whole clip!
