People tell me! Does she begin to use some special bowing technique at 1.04 when there are some fast things going on??? ( I have just begun to practise violin and I'm just wondering what's going on in there :P )
I'm 12 years old , my names is Shaina and i played the fiddle for five years and im pretty good, and everybody always told me...'to be a real fiddle plyer, you have to learn to play St. anns reel'' and i tohught i could never play it and i didn't really like it that much anyways, but when i first watched this video i went and grabbed my fiddle and i picked the song up SO fast....along with Calliope House, i literally learned it in 7 minutes. Thanks so much! you're an amazing player!
@shaina8catherine Its funny - you write on your channel that you are15 yrs old, but here you write 12 yrs old ... youtube don't let you to have account in 12 years?
@MusicienDalibor lol. must not. I wasn't aware that my account said i was 15 years old...my older sister made the account for me a couple years ago, so i wasn't sure how she set it up. ahaha. but, yes, im 12 not 15 :P
I got a fiddle for fathers day last year, Im getting better thanks to watching inspirational players like you Anna; Thank you for showing your talent and giving people like me something to aspire to. :)
Very Nice!!!.....To tensed huh....sheesh....i pray for the day i can play this tense...lol...i just love this world of critics...Keep up the good work Anna...
OMG! You rock! I love the style you play St Anne's in, it's the same as my late fiddle instructor, God rest his soul. I want to take you out to dinner! LOL
An easy way of telling if traditional music is played well, is listen to it and look at your feet. If they seem to be tapping on their own, it is being played well. If you appear to be dancing on your own, the music is playing masterfully well.
there is a nice little late syncopation in the first few notes of her St annes reel. Compare it to Truman Prices where he goes into the first notes early and loud.
Great... what's the name of this jig ? I've heard that once when watching "the lord of the dance", played by mairead Nesbitt and Cora Smyth, I wish I could find the sheet !
This is probably one of the best videos for 'St. Anne's Reel' I've seen, The speed and rhythm are just so lively! This is a video that you can watch over and over and it gets better every time.
very good, but she's got the "pancake hand" - not right =o

The second was the case in my situation. Bravo!
