  • Soooo... i guess that I'm not the only one who appreciates this brilliant piece of art! {=^D

  • I listen to this song every day on my automatic sidewalk.

  • That sample!

  • All dislikers must submit their names for the cleansing.

  • that vocal sample sounds like the music they used on Land Before Time, the 1st one

  • Cloud <3

  • The main sample is from "Temptation" by Enoch Light :)

  • i think i'm connected to at least 20k of the views on this track since i showed it to so many ppl i can't even remember : D

  • This has surprisingly few views.

  • the sample is a whole 14 seconds of

Enoch Light And The Light Brigade - Temptation

  • apurba!!

  • Has there been an orchestra that has tackled this song yet?

  • Of that excellent album this is my fav track.

  • THAT PIANO INTRO

    sfbsjbfsjkdbfskj fbs

  • Is my computer fu**** (big possibility) or is the quality of the sound, not exactly top notch?

  • @night0class0student its youtube...

  • Perfection.

  • another song that amen break is hiding around yo... :)

checker out "The Winstons - Amen Brother" at exactly 1.27 min ;)

First time being made at motherfuckin' 1969.... That's history babe.

    peace!!!

  • SPLINTER CELL

  • where is from the melody at 2:15 ? do u know please?

  • @nkj1336 The melody is from the song Temptation, I don't know which particular version, but it's a jazz standard. Search for Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra's version of it, it's pretty similar to the one used in Nightlife.

  • Anyone know what samples used at 1:07? I recognise it

  • That flanged percussion (or is it frets?) burying the bassline's attacks is kind of a neat trick :)

  • This always reminds me of ghosts at a party or something. Kinda like on the Shining.

  • 0:00-0:51-The sun has just set, and you are slowly walking down main street to the bus stop, and the bus will take you to the best club in town

0:52-2:51-You stop, and realize that you are running late to catch your bus, so you run as fast as you can to catch it.

2:52-4:00-You have arrived at the club, and you are settled in.

4:00-5:09-Things get intense at the club

5:09-End- You wake up late, woosy and hungover, and start remebering everything from last night.

  • @thefordmustangrocks that whole comment- you are of the gay.

  • This guys beats are quality. real intellectual. respect

  • This is a version of Bing Crosby's "Temptation", if anybody was wondering. The closest version I could find was by the Raymond Scott Quintet, but there isn't a video of it on Youtube.

  • My favorite part is the 50's sounding sound sample.

  • This makes me want to buy a dog and have a walk with it!

Thumbs up if you like dogs or Amon Tobin

  • Amon truly kicks ass in this one!

  • it's amazing how many good music u can find in Top Gear

  • Yes, you understand now. Tamriel is just one more Daedric Realm of Oblivion, long since lost to its prince, when he was betrayed by those that served him. Lord Dagon cannot invade Tamriel, his birthright, he comes to liberate the occupied lands.

  • dum tudum tututudum

How can a silly tune like that sound so damn good?

I feel sorry for classical composers, needing to write pages and pages of pratitures and not sound half as good as this.

  • is...is your name morag tong?! That's the best thing ever. Mine is from nothing, and is stupid.

  • I first heard this song in a chipotle.

  • @beetato HA! No kidding. It was Top Gear for me. I promptly went and grabbed his whole discography after hearing just this song.

  • ale te fraktaliki to kijowe

  • Where have I heard his before?

  • this is a fucking story. amon tobin is telling us a story.

  • @gravespt hahah you wher definatly hi when you wrote that

  • @isurfvan yes i was but that's not the cause loool... i'm not high now and i still say this is a story..

  • yeah baby give it to me now. Take me away....

  • The unerlying melody is "temptation" by perry como.

  • @MoragTong You have a acaunt name from my favorite game and u put a song from my favorite artist...You sir are my clone... :D

  • @Sele94PN hah :) cheers mate

  • @MoragTong what game?

  • @drummer790 If you haven't got it already, it's from Morrowind. :)

  • @Sele94PN

    morrowind?

  • @badabumbadabing1 Yeah,Morrowind! :D

  • They use the part that starts at 1:25 on top gear all the time.

  • numbre uan:)))

  • This music should be somewhere in the Bioshock movie, preferably just as the city is about to go to seed.

  • For anyone new to Amon Tobin wanting to hear another track named after a line from a David Lynch film, featuring a sample of that line, check out the track

Like Regular Chickens which gets it's title and sample from Lynch's first film,

the nighmarish masterpiece Eraserhead. Almost song of his is mindblowing, he's a musical god. Start with the albums Permutations and supermodified then Out From Out Where and then The Foley Room, his rawest album which he recorded all the samples for himself

  • In answer to "ManicRevelation"--Just picture the scenes from Midnight Meat Train set to this!

  • swtooooo piase ena kokoblokoooo

  • Cool =]

  • amon tobin is the greatest! :D

  • I heard this song in Chipotle the other day. lol.

  • yea. propa sik tune. Mash up!!!

  • I love how he started weaving jazz in to his music...beautiful.

  • Finally found the name for this by seeing a Hungarian children's film, of all things!

  • This is a magic phantasmagorical explosion of sickest sound

  • @CHmLgN swirling fizzing and foaming. absolutely crazy and addictive stuff!:D

  • Yes Mate

  • Wow, i love it, realy, who ever made this track is a genius.... im just hoping he doesnt take to much drugs :)

  • yeah, probably smokes plenty of weed. yum

  • ad hominem?

who cares what he does, or doesnt do. he makes awesome music and thats all that matters.

  • Yeah, this is pretty much the ultimate nightlife song...

  • And also proof that the Amen Break isn't overrated.

  • Comment removed

  • love it thats so great :D

  • damn ive never heard anything like this!

  • I'm not sure why I'm picturing a psychopathic canabal butcher in the comfort of his personal kitchen with a stupid grin on his face.

  • @ManicRevelation All of his songs kind of give that vibe...

  • @ManicRevelation LMFAO

  • reminds me of david lynch

  • Quite a nice comparison, actually.

  • Yes, more than you know.......

Check out "People Like Frank" -- that string sample is from Blue Velvet from the scene where Laura Dern is asking "Why are there people like Frank?"

  • must admit I haven't watched the movie, but upon seeing it here and reading the synopsis... downloading it now ;)

  • @dunbar4321 well i guess that then explains my lynch comparison so well then

  • @dunbar4321 Ah-HAAA! There's also a line in Arrested Development (the TV show long gone) where the prosecutor Wayne Jarvis says: "Why do there have to be puppets like Frank?" referring to Gob Bluth's puppet, Franklin, for spilling on the stand... it all makes sense, now...

  • I love this song. I remember hearing for the first time on the radio while driving alone through the city at a very late hour. It really sets the mood perfectly. So dream-like.

  • you heard this on the radio wat state do u live in bruh

  • Oregon, Portland Metropolitan area.

  • You're a lucky chap if in your country radios play Amon Tobin :)

  • 94.7 KNRK is a rare and fantastic radio station. I'm very lucky indeed to have it here.

  • wohooooo this is fucking nuts xD

  • you said it =)
