Hmmm, I don't recall any of the dialogue in this scene from this episode's transmission; as soon as I saw that it was actuall Nicholas Courtney, I was fairly unable to concentrate on the plot.
after seeing unit without nic in the revived series, UNIT seems such a sorry institution without him, he along with benton and yates and the rest, god i miss classic doctor who.
Nicholas Courtney needs to come back as the Brigadier for one last, heroic blast. 'Battlefield' was not an effective, fitting swansong for the character.
Mr Courtney has spoken to a fan he is friends with and apparently is willing to come back for one more round as The Brig, but has not been asked back by Russell T Davies. When UNIT makes their first proper appearance next season the Doctor will have a new liason to deal with but surely the Brig could be written in long enough to speak to the new Doctor. I know RTD is against catering to the old series fans or sho he says but we have already had Sarah Jane, K9 and The Master return.
A nice little clip this Terry . I know Nickolas was infact going to be in the Bill when i read about it in Doctor Who Magazine [ DWM ] , but unfortunatly i missed this episode , but thank you for showing this clip of the episode he appeared in .
Yes, Nicholas is a very good actor and it would be great to see him back in "Doctor Who" as, dare I say it, Lord Lethbridge Stewart or something of that calibre!!

Lord Lethbridge-Stewart. I like the sound of that! If they do bring him back, he should at least be Sir Alistair.
