  • The beginning of this series was boring, later was when it got good.

  • This speech always makes me cry, especially when she says "somewhere, we'll find a way back." Great captain, great show.

  • @billyboh78 me too. the music also makes it touching as well

  • The best of the Star Treks.

  • @BeachofDreams

Voyager had no cohesion and very little episode to episode continuity, which detracted from any feeling of realism or "world building". Unfortunate but true.

  • @BeachofDreams

Not the best...but certainly not the worse.

  • click the snow flakes and you can also see her going is it cold in here

  • 4 years later "Captain, I accidentally went the wrong direction."

  • 3 people are still stuck in the Delta Quadrant.

  • Captain Janeway had a helluva bad hairdo! Talk about a bad hair day...

  • I just got goosebumbs!

  • Captain Kathryn Janeway THE BRAVEST STAR TREK CAPTAIN EVER!!!

  • Fabulous

  • i cried

  • @TheNedo1234 I cried too! Especially when she mentioned spacial rifts! But seriously, I cried.

  • best warp eva

  • Kate Mulgrew, despites perfect, I can imagine Sigorney Weaver ou Glenn Close as the captain.

  • Mulgrew was perfect commanding Voyager !

  • I love star trek, have been a trekkie for as long as i remember, but i don;t care what anyone say, for me Voyager was the best of the lot! Put that in your warp core and smoke it...

  • @djzee1000

All the Maquis were wearing Starfleet uniforms at the end of the first episode LOL. That should tell you that something went very wrong with the execution of the show.

  • I remember watching this episode and feeling so hopeful for this show. I hated how disappointed with Voyager I was. :(

  • @heymrk I don't know what you have expected?? For me it was pretty good. Especially the fifth season...

  • One of my (many) favourite Voyager episodes.

  • 0:49 Even from this point in the first episode you can already sense the sexual tension between Chakotay and Kathryn. Hot dang!

  • GAAAAAGGGG *vomit*

  • @doudy009 WRONG... Warp 6 is the optimum cruising speed. Warp 9.975 is the maximum

  • I like how they let their new friends on the Bridge even though it should be a secure location on the ship

  • @ jony26 How do you know 9.975???? I though it's an emergency speed.

  • @Freddran it isn't 9.975, it's the standard cruising warp speed, warp 6, maximum warp is warp 9, and when she says emergency warp speed, it's warp 9.975.

  • Tats about 3000 Times faster then light

  • I imagine myself be standing on the bridge.

    I think i will having a shut-up-and-let's-get-a-move-on moment.

  • I never understood the premise of the show set a timer on a torpedo with enough time to get you and your crew home.

  • @MrHoppers002 maybe you laugh about it, and told us what the other captains would have done, but this is voyager without theire long voyage home, we would haved missed a great deal of the funny and very good things about voyager,

srry for my english, it's not the language i usually speak.

  • voyager was funny but it was sub par compared to tos or tng or ds9

  • @MrHoppers002 Not all of it was subpar, there were several episodes that were above par compared to TOS. And those that were on par or better than TNG and DS9. It is just that the series never reached its potential the way that TNG and DS9 did and the way TOS did in the films.

  • okay season 3 of TOS i'll give you that but DS9 and TNG blow voyager away.

  • 1:54

    dyke-fish bugger-shit

  • Did you know that earth already has an engine that could go up to warp five just like enterprise its called the alcubierre engine but we dont have enough anti-matter to power the tachyon emmiters that allow us to go that fast. I just thought id let you know. Also the intrepid class star ship is the only star ship in the federation fleet that can reach warp 9.9 without riping a hole in the space time continum

  • Star Trek Voyager is the best of all of the Star Trek but I like them all.

    Janeway was awesome as Captain.

  • @elcarrier101 I'd rephrase that as "Janeway is badass."

  • 1:58 for warp jump.

  • @80smusicfanNO1

    wtf

get ur dik out my ass

    suk my dik

  • @petujaymz

So you want me to suck your dick? So you're definitely gay then.

    What a weird fucking poster.

  • picard is a wanker....

  • always thought voyager had a sleeker look than any of the enterprise ships especially the enterprise-e far too lankey and long really stupid looking...

  • can anyone tell me how fast voyager is it is saying 9..975 but there is no indication in this episode

  • @jessicaroy19 - it was mentioned in the pilot episode. 7mnuwi4YQ

  • @jessicaroy19

it's mentioned in the pilot episode. Look for this youtube clip: v=ps7mnuwi4YQ

  • 1:54 - Picard's ship is gay gay GAY

  • Neelix and Kes are gay gay GAY

  • @petujaymz

Kes was fucking shmexy, you're the gay one.

  • if voyager's top speed is warp 9.975, it should only take about fifteen years for them to get back to the alpha quadrant (taking into account that they can't stay at warp the whole time)

  • @tuvoc74656atgmaildot at top speed of 9.975, taking that at warp speed voyager travels the warp factor cubed. they could only travel approx 992.5 light years per year. 70 years was a very generous estimate i'd say

  • Interestingly enough. One of the advantages the dominion has with fighter production is the fact that the Jem'hadar fighters can be built in sections within a shuttle bay or similar environment and then assemble the pieces in space. It means their ships have a simpler design but also can be built quickly in large numbers. One of the downsides is that the componentized construction gives their hulls weaknesses at certain points in the hull versus other starship designs.

  • Actually, building a starship as advanced as voyager is not trivial. Especially, given the federation predilection for engineering complexity and long life. Think about how starships have multiple backup systems and dozens of different power systems and EPS conduits.

However, something like a shuttle could be replicated in pieces and then built over a period of days or weeks on the floor of a shuttle bay which seems to be what happened with the Delta Flyer. :P

  • but they WEREN'T assigned to the delta quadrant

  • Voyager may have looked pristine each episode because each episode was one week after the previous and voyager has replicators, transporters, and repair crews. I think the first two would make repairs almost trivial.

  • No, no they shouldn't at all.

One week would not have been enough to repair the damage done in "Deadlock" or "The Killing Game". We were promised a different show and we never got it, Instead we got Star Trek: Reset Button.

  • How do you know they shouldn't at ALL? Did you design them? How would a device intended to replicate materials and a device used to move materials not help? The one week part was a joke. I don't think they often mention how much time has passed between the last encounter.

And who promised you this series would be different?

It was different, different ship, new aliens, new crew. Did you want a new show premise entirely? If so, you should have watched a different show. It's Star Trek.

  • LOLZ WUT? You're in the tiny minority if you believe all that son.

Voyager built a delta flyer in a day, that means they could have built a freaking fleet within a few months and conquered the damned delta quadrant. That shows how ridiculous it was, the show was supposed to be a ship cut off from the Federation and struggling with supplies. In the first couple of seasons we did get to see some of this, unfortunately it was forgotten and the ship appeared to become self repairing.

  • I don't recall the delta flyer being built in one day. They couldn't struggle for supplies the entire way home, that would imply there was no commerce or trading going on in the delta quadrant. We saw that the quadrant had it's vast nothingness where they couldn't find fuel, and trading depots where they met civilized species. It would have been worse if they were continually running out of supplies, how fun would that have been to watch?

  • The fact is, we basically never saw them struggling for supplies after about season 4 and we never saw any realistic consequences of them being trapped in the Delta Quadrant. I like Voyager a lot but at least I can admit its faults.

And go back to watch "Extreme Risk" to see the ridiculously rapid construction of the Delta Flyer.

  • Voyager was by the far the most enjoyable instalment of all the Star Trek series. Kate mulgrew was fantastic for the role; and every moment spent with her and Voyager brought a tear to my eye. Amazing!

  • I have to say out of all the star trek shows i thing that voyager was the best they had to deal with so much bull shit and they didnt have the advantages the other ships had being so close to earth... they had to fight and that what made this the best show in star trek and Kat Pulled it off in the end even learn how to kick the borgs ass and that saying alot for them

  • What the fuck are you talking about?

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT THE FUCK!?

You're 23 but talk like a retarded child.

You do realise this show isn't real right?

The only reason they did so well was that that is how the show was written?

And the show happened to be written as one where Voyager managed to just go through the quadrant with barely a bulkhead out of the place, the ship miraculously repairing itself before the beginning of each new episode.

  • PUNCTUATION!

  • Man really piss off what are you in love with me; sorry i don't that way so stop commenting me and get a freaking like, i can like whatever the hell i want and nothing gonna change that asshole so get fucking bent. i think you keep commenting to me because you don't have a life so you spend on day sitting your lazy ass on the computer writing comment about thing that don't really matter get a job you fucking bum.. and you tub doesn't need to have formal typing call me what you like i don't care

  • If I'm a lazy bum with no life for doing this then what does that make you when all your messages are about 20 times longer than mine?

  • "Set a course, for home." Love how the series started and ended with these words. :D

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

  • this is so star trekkie, I'm crying!!

  • prometheus is the fastest ship with multi-vector assault mode and warp speeds capable of warp 10

    [actuall quote]

  • Not when this epsidode aired.

  • it was new

  • Perhaps rounded up its 10, buy surely it can't be 10.0.

  • warp 10 is breaking a barrier of some sort there is an eopisode of where paris breaks the warp 10.0 barrier and he then mutates into some kind of mutant lizard. Everybody including the producers of the episode hated the episode!

  • Yes I know...

  • 9.999999999

  • Warp 10 is impossible to reach with later Warp theory. Warp 9.999.999.996 is about the fastest you can go. Simply because Warp 10 is being everwywhere at once. Making it impossible to find out where you stop when you drop out of it.

  • Unless you reverse the tachyon flow and disrupt the positron stream whilst patching teh haxxors through the hologylph engine array... then approaching a XHF wormhole from the correct angle and catapulting yourself away from the resulting sphectra gravitational anomaly... THEN you can get to Warp 11.

Come on, its sci-fi, rationalisation is largely fluff. ;3

  • @Sneakysneaky88 Wait wait wait... are you saying, that your warp drive.... goes to 11?

  • @Sneakysneaky88 Reverse the tachyon flow to emit fluffy kittens with fifty trillion atomic bumble bees, shitting super protons at warp 58, causing the warp core to transport matter within the ship to earth. It's pretty simple tbh.

  • @Sneakysneaky88 Haxz!

  • @Sneakysneaky88 Wait, you forgot to regulate the flow through the protodynaplaser grid, then reshunt the resulting plasma into the paramagnetic isopalavial manifold, THEN patch teh haxxors onto the plasma through the hologlyph engine array. But be careful, watch the inductance charge, you don't want to overload the capacitance matrix!

Duh! It's not rocket science, you know!

(Isn't making up silly technobabble fun?! :D)

  • Not an actual quote.

  • actually acording to memory alpha it can reach a maximum of warp 9.9996 extremely close, but the only way to go past warp 10 without mutating or seing ripped to shreds would be to use a quantm slipstream drive, or a transwarp system both of which have only be experimented on by the frderation.

  • I missed this Show.

  • did you know Voyager was origanlly going to have 10 seasons

but they ended due to enterprise

  • if you listen closely when she says "seek out new worlds" it plays the star trek theme... i think that is the only time its heard on all of voyager

  • You're right. Good catch. Did DS9 ever have the main ST theme in its episodes?

  • they did once that i know of, during the tribble episode you can hear it several times

  • I see. But then again, it was the 30th Anniversary episode. I would've been surprised if it weren't in there.

  • u mean enterprise theme

  • After eating Neelix's food for the first time she should've sent him out the airlock! :D

  • Hm another enity like the Caretaker who will be able to get them home a lot faster, uh yes there is and his name is Q.

  • and susperia the caretakers mate

  • Q wouldnt do it cos he wants to see voyager get home because it's. amusing!

  • In the episode "Threshold", going Warp 9.975 made voyager's pylons go under near catostrophic stress, so it can not be enabled for more than 3 minutes.

  • They didn't, and they weren't. They went an average of warp 6 on their journey home, 9.975 was only for emergencies.

  • Thats wrong and true...

True is: Since the federation-wide speed limit due subspace damage at high warp, all ships are ordered to fly with Warp - but... First: Stranding in the Delta Quadrannt is a ermergency situation and second: Voyagers warpdrive has variable warpfieldgeometry, that allows voyager to travel with max warp without harming the subspace (Sorry for bad english^^)

  • Voyager's nacelles were designed not to cause this problem, and thus Voyager wasn't subject to the Federation speed limit.

  • Its also a case of the writers realising they'd made a mistake by inflicting this warp speed limit so subsequent films and tv shows just ignored it!

  • Where do they state that they were going to warp 9.975?

  • they dont only in the 1st episode they say it does
