He was having fun with an old friend. There is much more footage that shows this. Mantas also slow down for "cleaner fish" to attach and eat the parasites off them. All rays are in the same Order and according to Wikipedia, most people commonly don't differentiate rays by family. They just refer to all rays as Stingrays.
@arkdist yeah its said that manta/sting-rays are as smart if not almost as smart as a dolphin is and are very, very interactive w/ species especially humans haha oddly enough right? lol but yeah there beautiful creatures hope i at least get to play/meet/ride 1 at 1 point in my life
