my friends stuff on the new t2i looks better, but it doesnt mean this footage sucks, my friends footage is just amazing! the T2i is where its at. a T2i with an Lseries lens is the closest you can get to true 35 mm. Its sweet cause you can get true 24p by converting the 60p. CANON I LOVE YOU. T2I is a godly camera.

see the canon catalogue i have from 2007 says on the 85mm f/1.2L "this is the fastest prime lens in the entire canon class". and the catalogue from 2009 i saw says the same but added "and now the 50mm 1.2" but looking on the net i do see them. That is surprising too because they have said the f/1 is very sharp even wide open but the 1.2 isnt..

yes it is.. Its just harder to use. the 50mm f/1.0 is obsolete. No longer in production. The 85mm F/1.2 is better. And if used correctly, can be sharp at 1.2

I got the 50mm 1.2 and it is sharp @ 1.2. (5 is even better, but I dont like the focal lenght. To long. I want some enviroment in a portrait as well. But if I had the money I would by them both:-)

it does, it was the previous 50mm L lens before the 50mm f/1.2L.. im not really sure why they chose to make the newer one with a slightly smaller aperture but oh well they were both pretty soft wide open.. also the 50mm f/1.0 didnt have autofocus abilities.
