Finally I have learned about the pictures painted on small bottles received as a gift. Very interesting.......and beautiful. Each bottle is about 2 inches high.
The 12th century original is located in the mainland, I believe. This is a famous 18th century remake during the mid Qing Dynasty, not the Song Dynasty. Both versions are beautiful, but the colors on this are much brighter due to less fading over time.
erm.. you cant see the original cause its preserved and kept for no one to see dude. unless you are a vip of course

The original paintwork by Zhang currently resides in the Forbidden City, Beijing, while the Qing artist rendition copy is currently in Taipei museum.

The original is in the national palace in beijing i think, though the qing version is still magnificent and in good shape
