  • My iPod accidentally flagged this video, but I totally agree. Sorry about that flagging thing, please don't be mad! X.(......

  • i like foxes but i hate how they sound when one go's in heat

  • I love foxes now! they are so friendly!!

  • if you think a fox will lose its hunting instincts and trust all humans simply because one man feeds it you greatly under estimate foxes. scooota did nothing wrong other than feeding the fox by hand without a really sturdy glove :) It's actually amusing to read the comments by the whiney, anal retentive, perennially indignant, animal behavior "experts" who mistakenly believe this man's actions somehow led to this beautiful animals unfortunate demise. I say good job scoota! thanks for posting

  • They do take food from your hand. Check out my video from the office one night

  • how old was it?

  • Thats so sad! At least you were kind to it and gave it some food. I saw a fox get hit on the highway scumbag driver didn't even try to stop or help.I did get out and check on it, it died, and put him on the grass. I cried all the way home. Foxes are beautiful.

  • these things might have rabies and could get ferocious and bite u

why take risk of letting this into ur house, u should be careful.

  • That's so sad that he got killed! We have some smaller red foxes that come around here...I live RIGHT in town. Last summer one came RIGHT up to me. We both got those big round eyes of fear and just stared at each other for a minute. lol. Thanks for the video! I've always heard that foxes are very good judges of character and an animal of great wisdom!

  • I found the flog that this fox wrote just before its untimely death. Dear people of the planet don't blame me I didn't think about the car. And my best friend of for ages ran away one night in an awful fright. So this may be my last farewell. So long world and thanks for that free meal I got one night.

  • Aww! It's a shame it didn't come back. Maybe you could've gotten it farther into the house. xD

  • You really ought to leave the wild alone - now that fox is going to depend on you for food and lose its ability to hunt and scavenge. Not to mention foxes are the #2 carrier of rabies in the US and #1 in Europe.

  • You are sooooooo lucky!

  • Great now you've made it accustom to people..Im sure it can tell the difference between you and other people and will be very careful not to get it self blow into pieces when it tries to do that at someone else house..LEAVE NATURE ALONE..You're not helping..

  • i think it depends on the situation. if you meddle with nature without cause to then thats bad, but if you've seen proof that its struggling, placing food in a garden isn't really that bad is it, concidering it might die if you didn't. Just to make the fox keep its hunting skills you could try hiding the food or putting it in certain places to make it a bit of a challenge for the fox.

  • Their favourite food is potato peelings and poultry carcasses. We don't have rabies in the UK. Foxes do carry various diseases that transmit to humans so keep it away from the house and observe from a distance.

  • @bigbearleeds

Is that how you say it? Potato? I thought it was potato. I'll pronounce it different next time.

  • @krrrruptidsoless Haha ... well as a keen vegetarian I'm sure you know a whole bunch of ways to pronounce (and cook) potato, tomato, oregano, zucchini and pun'kin differently to we Brits. I agree with your quiet rant about the education system - ours is almost as bad (but of course, we say it differently).

  • This is not tha fox that comes to my garden..A diffarent breed..very nice video and a cute fox.

  • what did you feed it? I would love to see if that would work with the foxes near by my house =) I love foxes

  • Such a beautiful animal...and I do indeed agree that whether it'd become accustomed to humans or not is beside the point... the fact that gorgeous creature was forced to reside in an area with a substantial amount of vehicular traffic makes the situation an accident just waiting to happen. This particular fox was intelligent enough to know that some humans mean no harm and could also be exploited as a reliable source of food..guess that old euphamism, "smart as a fox" was based on actual fact.

  • Yh like a fox tricked me and stole some food from me...cause of my own curiosity i was fooled by it, i didn't mind as long as it faced some hardship in getting the food i'm fine with it, cause you should try and help them keep their natural instincts.

  • that is soo cool..

  • heheee.. no more buddy

  • Totally disagree, A car killing it and the urban sprawl around me caused the untimely death, foxes have to cross roads to feed, FACT !!! Since you have no knowledge of "People like me" or my neighbourhood I suggest you keep your comments to yourself. Foxes fearing humans do not prevent roadkill.

  • what are you going to do about it?

feed me in hope i get used to humans so that i will get hit by a car ?

  • Apples and oranges..You just put one more nails in its coffin and lessened its odds in an already precarious situation..Hey I love nature just as much as anyone..I like your video too but you went to far coaxing it into some sort of twisted friendship for your vanity and amusement..

  • @scooota Agreed! How many domestic animals who spend their whole lives around humans suddenly feel that it's neccessary to go head-on into a vehicle on the road? That's just silly, "Oooh a human is in that strange machine! Maybe if I dive under the tire, I will get food!" ...v_v Animals are smarter than that - and the fox is revered for its intelligence and cunning.

  • Couldn't have said it better...
