I noticed that too. Didnt help me with the Kombos, it helped me get the timing for the Promoves down. I just use this mode when I know theres a Promove version of something, but cant figure out how to do it. The only thing it hasnt helped me with is one of the Jokers Promoves, back X,*back down front A. The back X thing doesnt give any flashes, so I had to figure out the timing for the boxing glove version for myself.

i knew this thing.. the flash timing is different for each special move/character.. actually one of the fastest flashes in the game appears after sonya's bicycle kick, when u can do another bicycle kick in the air =)

the ''light/spark'' may help some ppl a little, but i think it's not the point, learning to do long combos, u must parctice them in sequences, in order to succeed, and a very troubling thing as for me is/was the singular punches and/or kicks between long combos. walls can help with this.. but even still, it's a bitch.

lol thats a promove for you. You have to prepare the presses for the next move while you're doing the current move, then finish the inputs exactly when the light flashes (theres a little room for error though)

many fo the combos, regardless of the "flashing", don't show you if you need to do the combo in a corner, if you need to walk in before doing a juggle, etc...

It would really be a good idea to include a CPU demonstration of what the combo looks like.

when it says TAP you dont have to just click it, you have 2 ways to do it:

1. SPAM the button

2. Use your fingernail to move quickly from side to side of the button.

The whole point of this is to press the button as fast as you can.

i saw the flashes too, and i have it for ps3. some people just have longer grace periods for inputs than others. batman and sub-zero have long grace periods. superman and the joker have millisecond input times to connect with no room for error. it's hard to consistantly cancel with superman, but supes is the man though.

I have the ps3 version and yes there is a flash. It's just really hard to see because of how fast it flashes. When you successfully begin a kombo it will flash quickly at the exact time you're supposed to do the next move. It's really tricky but can be done with a lot of practice.

Kingborghs, don't be an idiot. The star means that it is when you input the sequence of buttons for a pro move. You are seeing the smaller star, which means a more specific timing. THe big star in this video means he has a large amount of time to input the combo.

that random shine is that you have done the combo, if you want to know when you have to do the next thing, you have to look to the white star, you don't really see it, but it is under the combo, you see it less then one second. Great video, and I had the same question, it's indicating for you to jump in that direction, the icon within the circle will be pointed either left or right. At first I thought it indicated a full rotation, they really should have put that in the legend.
