have a look at your suspension feather springs. THEY MUST BE BOWED not semi straight. the springs takes the strain off the U joint. Check it out. My friend also has Wrangler and he stopped snapping the U joint bearings pnce he changed his feathers.
It doesn't seem like removing the cat did all that much... I've got a 92' with throttle body spacer K&N AF, 50s Series Flowmaster and i cut off the end of the pipe so it shoots straight out the back... put a chrome tip on it. It sounds about the same as yours... if a little lower. When did you put it on? I put mine on in 03 so it's had time to break in... it also has a huge dent in the side from being hit numerous times with the driveshaft (my jeep eats u-joint retainer clips)
@Wheelman286 U-Joint straps... not clips. For some reason it started to rip them off the truck... I have been about half trying to fix it for years and have failed... then again... I have been busy with college since 05
