Hab dieselbe Strecke gestern in der nacht auf neuem Schnee gefahren mit Kamera - kommt bald hier.

Ja, bin seit heute im e34Forum ;)). Username: Val Mont (mein Künstlername als Fotograf).

Kannst du mir einen Tip geben, wie/wo ich am besten poste: hab seit ein paar Monaten einen 535i mit E-Gas, der ab und zu in einen Notlaufmodus fällt: etwa halbe Leistung, Drosselklappe scheint nur halb zu öffnen. Wir haben schon ausgetauscht: E-Drosselklappe, Steuergerät E-Gas, Motorsteuerung. Kein Effekt. Bin frustriert und ratlos - will jetzt im Winter neue Videos machen ;))

Nice video! I am waiting for snow here in Colorado so I can have some fun in the big A8 but she's almost impossible to drift with AWD :( What type of snow tires do you have ?

Nein, mit dem Gasgeben machst du zweierlei: 1. du verlängerst das Querfahren, weil du mit dem Gaspedal das Gripniveau der Hinterachse steuerst, während du vorne immer dahin lenkst, wo das Auto hin soll. Und 2. du hältst den Wagen auf Tempo, denn Querfahren bremst sehr stark und braucht viel Leistung, wenn es im 3. Gang über die komplette Kurve gehen soll. Das Ganze auf trockener Strasse würde mindestens ab 300 PS brauchen, um den Drift durchzuziehen, auf Schnee etwa die Hälfte.

also das man dafür auf schnee mindestens 150 ps braucht halte ich für quatsch...mit meinem volvo 740 geht das auch mit 113 PS ;-)

Ja das kann schon sein, wenn du mit abgefahrenen Reifen auf Eis unterwegs bist. Ich rede von 3.Gang Kurven und guten Schneegripverhältnissen (Neuschnee). Wenn du da einen Drift zwischen 80 und 110 kmh bis ans Kurvenende durchziehen willst, ohne langsamer zu werden, reichen 113 PS definitiv nicht. Ich bin da mit meinen 240 PS schon nicht mehr weit vom Anschlag.

Hey mate! Nice car! It it your daily driver? And why do you have this ..ehm... "thing\marker" on the top of your steering wheel?

normally you don´t need that mark on the top of the steering wheel. But when you are driving fast on slippery track and lose grip at the front tyres, you will be very pleased to have that mark in order to turn the wheel to the right position without having physical response - only by watching mark. Hope you understood.

I use "wredestein snowtrack", bought them in 2008, size 195/65 as I remember. I´m happy with them.

thanks man =) vredestein winter tires are known as very good ones. My 525i has 16" summer tires Michelin primacy HP, a bit "too big" in winter 225/55/16...maybe i'll buy some vredestein or falken or nokian winter tires then.

Wredesteins may not be avail. in the US. I use Nokian Hakka RSis on my E34 and have been impressed. Top rated for a studless tire by various Euro Mags. not long ago. Now called the R. WS-60 Blizzaks, or Mich. X-Ice are also good options.
