Well. This video would be good if you knew what you were doing. Few mistakes: "sudo", "sudo" and "sudo"!! You needed to use Sudo for Ubuntu machines. I've setup a proxy and almost got it working (just need contact with the 4S). Sudo has been a friend of mine.

ok so i had a thought, technically you wouldnt have to have a 4s with you, if you used youre friends and say he was in a different location in the same country if you managed to fix youre ip instead if telling him youre normal 192.168.whatever.whatever then couldnt you send him youre remote ip and tht would do exactly the same thing it would still link back you youre server

Did you even find the placeholders in the siriProxy.rb file? Looks like you just scrolled down then flipped back to the tutorial. I have everything up and running, and the 4S keys, but I cannot seem to locate where those place holders are. I think the file has been update since the tutorial came out, as it seems to call to separate files for the authkeys instead of just having them in the siriProxy.rb file.

Question, will installing the custom certificate on the 4S mess up using Siri regularly? Like would you have to go back and reinstall the stock one or would Siri still work anyway?

@iZK12 installing the certificate on the 4S only allows the webserver to be trusted by the iphone. it will not change the way Siri works at all so you should be good.
