And for the unforseen fuel costs, I know Southwest does it, not too sure about the other airlines, but it's something called fuel hedging, where the airline makes a contract with the oil company to supply fuel at a fixed cost...so if they contracted it out at say $3.00 a gallon, even if the price of fuel goes up to $20.00 a gallon they only pay $3.00. In fact Southwest saved $3.5 billion in 10 years doing that.
@mcmoney240 Plus as a businessman you should know that airlines are growing like crazy in China haha. Their airlines are growing by 14% annually and it doesn't take rocket science to figure out they will soon lead in number of passengers. But plenty of jobs will open up there.
