I can't wait until EVERYTHING is USB 3.0!

I wonder if that day will ever come?

Imagine how easy it would be to wire up your TV, speakers, PC, blueray, gaming console etc... if everything used the same Single wire.

The only thing I'm not sure about is how long you can run a USB 3.0 wire. I know that there is power/data loss at 15 feet (3 meters), with USB 2.0. I hope that's been increased with 3.0.

@janX9 I have 2TB USB 3.0 External drive not actully 2TB its 1.81TB , FullHD video capture card USB 3.0 and Computer USB 3.0 .

mouse , keyboard , printers ,Headphone..etc don't need USB 3.0 it can run so fast in USB 2.0 .

Attention Please there is USB 4.0 and it will come very soon because 4K Resolution Videos starting right now .

@HD13POWER USB 4.0? They just released 3.0. I haven't seen any documentation regarding 4.0. Could you post a link in regards to 4.0 please.

@janX9 there is no documentation for USB 4.0 right now , but like USB 3.0 before five years no body knows that it will come . So my opinion with the new 4K resolution Videos I am sure that USB 4.0 will come in 2014 . after 2 years from the end of the world :D

@HD13POWER That's an interesting point you make actually. With 4096p gaining notoriety many things might change. If 4k does become mainstream, harddrives, USB, video cards and TV's of course would all have to change.

@janX9 Thats good ! But which camera can record 4096p ?? No camera can , Maybe in 3D editing Movies (unreal movies) like Maya , Cinema 4D , etc would be 4096p ! but which system can run that video @_@ 1000 Mega bytes Per second LoL

USB 2.0 runs at 480Mbps, That's Mega Bits Per Second. It boils down to about 60MBps Which is Mega Bytes per second.

The new USB 3.0 Runs at 5.0Gbps(4.8Gbps), Giga Bits per second, which is about 600MBps, Mega Bytes per second. that is why they say USB 3.0 is ten times faster than USB 2.0
