AC2 was awesome, but Uncharted 2 definately deserved game of the year. The storyline is so much more gripping aswell if you're interested in mythology and history. AC2 has a great storyline, but it has a lot of design flaws, graphics are pretty average and the gameplay is very repetitive.

Video game awards is a crap of a show...theres no strategy genre, no economic genre, the games that won in 2009 have crappy storys. Developers try to compensate the lack of originality in storyline through graphics!

Where's transport tycoon or Simcity's, X-com, Civilization, Dune 1 & 2, Gabriel Knight, Xwing/Tie Fighter?! It's all very basic, very straightforward. At the beginning of the game i already know the end. All visually stunning and fast but disposable and mediocre. It's a shame..

I think Fighting game of the year should have been BlazBlue. The game may only have 12 characters but the game makes up for it with its drive sysem, origional movesets(making every character different), styles, combos for each character.

While in street fighter, half the cast, which is very repetetive, just throws fireballs(Hadoken) and uppercuts (shoryuken).
