  • God doesn't give consequences, he gives correction. Pain and suffering correct us and help us to see what we're doing wrong and that we can't waste life following our own desires.

  • Some people come on here and assume all the ills of this world is God's fault, but don't even bother to get to know Him and His side of the story - because they *do* believe He exists, but they don't want to follow Him.

It's also boring and tedious when they post these same old false accusations (all the same - they all blame God) and never learn. Such future posts will blocked and deleted. Just read my old comments to other false accusers - they will answer such questions.

    Thank you! :o)

  • When I can't find answers from the Bible from anyone else, I can always count on Charles Stanley. He has away of wording things so that it sinks in for me.

  • @buginyourear - I totally agree! Dr. Charles Stanley is one of the very few pastors that I know of who has the ability to teach how to apply the Bible to practical living. All that without the yelling and histrionics that some pastors seem to think makes them effective (but is just really hot air). I love Dr. Charles Stanley!

  • How about children in Africa dying and suffering because there is no food?

  • @34roberees - God can help them Himself if they want it, but oftentimes that just results in people wanting stuff from Him without building up their fellowship with Him - He's just a mere vending machine to them. You will find that in the gospels when Jesus fed the 5,000. Some people followed Him because of the free food and not for Him - and that still happens today. God also prefers to work through willing people to help the poor because it not only helps people but builds fellowship with Him.

  • @MelodyOfVision But how can ababy follow god or Jesus? How can iliterate women around the world follow god? they are mistreated, raped, sold, etc. How can a just god allow injustices in innocent people? Ok people who can read who don't believe because they don't want to ok they suffer but people like the ones I mentioned?

  • @34roberees - Here are two videos that will explain your questions:

    1) Does God send good people to Hell if they've never heard of Jesus? - by Dr. Charles Stanley

    watch?v=3tvjBQw3tZM

    2) The Age of Accountability and Why People Sin - by Kerrigan Skelly (RefutingCalvinism)

    watch?v=uLr4Kcd5fx8

  • @34roberees - Also, lots of times people will talk about children or the handicapped living or dying in some unfair way to get out of their responsibility to follow God. It's not like really they care about the children or the handicapped themselves. Sad but true!

  • @MelodyOfVision I was expecting a more intelligent answer. I do care about children in Africa, and I feel deeply sorry for them and try to help. But anyway I understand your answer, it's the typical christian answer :@

  • @34roberees - My answer is true and accurate - doesn't matter if you don't think so. Did you read oscarmarin1995's replies to you? They're true and accurate too.

Also even if you help all the children in Africa, those good works will not save you from going to Hell - you NEED to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. That's what this whole exchange of words, is it, between you and me? Trying to make excuses not to follow God? Just get to know Him - He isn't what you're accusing Him to be.

  • @MelodyOfVision Again the typical christian answer. Anyway if god is love and almighty why doesn't he end the pain and suffering of innocent people? Fundamentalism is what keeps the world as it is, christian fundamentalism, muslim fundamentalism, and other religious fundamentalism, it is just bs to me.

  • @34roberees - If it is all BS to you then why are you so upset? I find it ironic that you are expending so much energy over this! :o) Me thinks thou protest too much!

  • @MelodyOfVision Yes I know, because religion controls people it makes people scare and makes people fight agaisn each other discriminate each other. And also because there are innocent people suffering in the world that have nothing to do with religion, how can a child in africa who is dying of starvation praise a god, it is ridiculous, it is all BS :D

  • @34roberees - There you go again with all the emotion working yourself up with all those sentences! When I genuinely did not believe in God before, I did not waste my time going on religious videos, articles, places, etc. and argue with religious people. Your actions and words betray you - you DO believe in God! You just don't want to follow Him. And the reason why you don't want to follow Him is because you don't really know Him - that and because you don't want to lose control over your life.

  • @MelodyOfVision I don't believe in reigion, it controls people's lifes makes people fight, makes people kill, makes people discriminate and reject who ever does not think like them. That's what I don't believe, now can you answer my question why god allows suffering in innocent people?

  • @MelodyOfVision I question religion any religion and I ask questions and make my comments, you don't like it I'm sorry for you. Peace!

  • @MelodyOfVision Religion controls peoples minds, making them believe that they will be punished for something and that they will be saved if they do what the religion says and that's any religion. I respect peoples beliefs but I question and ask because it does not make sense to me that if they say god is love and all mighty there are innocent people suffering and dying in the world.

  • @34roberees - You're asking the wrong person then if you have questions. Why aren't you asking God Himself? God will answer. This is how I got saved - I had my own questions and I brought them to God and He answered. I got to know Him too. He isn't the terrible things you make Him out to be.

Your questions also reveal that you've already made up your mind about God. Why not just admit that you don't want to follow Him and accept that when you end up in hell that it was ultimately your decision.

  • @MelodyOfVision I don't blieve in religions that's why I question religions. Again I'm sorry if you don't like my questions. I think that the money spent in religion BS and wars caused by religion could be used to stop suffering in the world caused by it.

  • @34roberees - You assume I don't like your questions, but I don't mind them. You're not the first person to come to me with the "suffering children in Africa is all God's fault" argument (seriously, go take a look at the rest of the comments). It's just so predictable and unimaginative.

It's really about trying to blame God to get out of following Him, despite making no effort to really hear His side of the story. Because if you *really* wanted to know, you'd ask God yourself. Like I did.

  • @MelodyOfVision It really seems like you don't like my questions but if you say so, ok. At the end of they day everyone gives me the typical answer and more bs, again I respect but I don't blame a god for anything I ask if god is everything they say why there is suffering in innocent people? I know people and religions don't like questioning it is easier to believe everything that to question.

  • @34roberees - I had questions too, as I had told you - and I went straight to God Himself. And He answered. You are without excuse.

  • @MelodyOfVision Good for you congrats!

  • @34roberees - Mere distraction. Are you going to ask God or not?

  • @MelodyOfVision When some gives me a valid answer or accept that everything is bs I might, have a good day.

  • @34roberees - God will give you a valid answer.

  • @MelodyOfVision So you agree with me that no religion and no book has an aswer because what they say is all an invention made by man.

  • @34roberees - You're so silly. Why not simply say that you don't want to ask God? Why try to weasel yourself out of it by dodging the issue?

  • @MelodyOfVision Whether I want to ask or not is all up to me, or are you gonna kill me because I don't believe and you I question? hahahaha you are funny typical of fanatics fundamentalists :D

  • @34roberees - That's just nervous laughter on your part because you know what I've said is true. You believe too. This is why you go through all this trouble of going to Christian videos to argue with people. Because you believe in God but don't want to follow Him. And you want some way to justify that decision to make yourself feel better.

  • @MelodyOfVision No it's not nervous laughter you made me laugh. I don't have any issue with not believing my issue is how this world is because of others trying to lie and control other people. You want to believe ok enjoy, I ask and if you don't have an answer ok. my questions bother you because you know I'm right and my questions are legitimate. I thought you were reading the bible, enjoy it.

  • @34roberees And I didn't tell you to go to book or a religion. God isn't a religion. And I first went straight to God with my questions. Reading the Bible came later.

  • @MelodyOfVision Man made religions out of a god to control others who want easy answers.

  • @34roberees - God is not a man made religion and you know it. Because if He was, you wouldn't go through all effort of trying to justify not following Him.

For example, I don't believe in allah. His followers can torture and kill me but it would not convince me that allah can send me to hell. But if I did believe in him and did not want to follow him, I would make every effort to convince myself - and others - that my decision was valid by defaming his character and rejecting any valid answers.

  • @MelodyOfVision Again I don't have to justify anything. You just want placebos, spiritual placebos, and it is ok and valid. My question is about suffering in the world and the answers religions give about that which are not valid at all and are contradictory to their doctrine. :D

  • @34roberees - And the origin of your question stems from the fact that you've already made up your mind about God and refuse to make any effort to know His side of the story. You've made up your mind to reject any way of knowing the answers for yourself by going directly to God.

  • @MelodyOfVision I saw this video because it appear in another video about religion fundamentalism. The tile was interesting and wanted to know what christians say about suffering. Then I read very unfair comments like people suffer because the don't follow god, because bla bla bla. I'm a very happy person who enjoys life and there are happy people allover the world and unhappy people with different beliefs and religions. Now a child or a teenager who suffers and is innocent of anything makes...

  • @34roberees makes what some people believe and some comments here contradictory because if what they say is that god is love how can he let innocents suffer? I understand that a thief, a drug addict, etc. suffer because they allowed it to happen but otherwise it is clearly unfair and if there is a god he must be a fair god because he or she is god, in the bible for example, the woman is a mere accessory, in some islamic traditions the same, how can that be fair?

  • @34roberees - Like I said, I don't believe anything a Christian says will satisfy you. I was like that myself. If God really existed, I didn't want second hand reports, because that will cause doubts. I wanted to know if He existed for myself. HE had to prove Himself to me in existence and character - not Christians. And He did - irrefutably.

If you really want to know the answers, this is why I keep directing you to Him because then you won't have any doubts about His existence or character.

  • @MelodyOfVision - Also when you go around asking different Christian, well, they are all at different stages of their walk with Christ so some are more knowledgeable and mature while others are still learning the basics. This is why you'll come across contradictions. What I've learned is to keep my focus on God and not on His children. You won't get confused that way.

  • @MelodyOfVision The greatest contradicciton in your case is that you say you refer yourself to go but read the bible, when the bible is full of sexism and fundamentalism, war, anger, fire, hell etc. I respect you and thanks for your answers peace!

  • @34roberees - Ah! Now here is a mysterious thing about reading the Bible! You know everyone reads it, believer and non-believers alike. But why do believers get so much more out of it and understand it better?

    Luke 8:10

He [Jesus] said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, “‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’

His disciples asked God for the meaning - others didn't.

  • @MelodyOfVision But you say you refer yourself to god not to a book.

  • @MelodyOfVision Thanks for your time and your answers see you later. Peace!

  • @MelodyOfVision I meant you refer yourself to god.

  • @MelodyOfVision Thanks for your effort in answering my question, enjoy life and whatever you believe in.

  • @34roberees Satan rules this world. It's so messed up in Africa. But people are doing their best to help. Missionaries and others go to help as much as they can. I hope one day to go there and help and see the power of God working over there. And many people are finding spiritual salvation in Christ.

  • GOD'S TEST of HEAERTS!

God’s test of hearts dates back to Adam

When Eve picked fruit from the forbidden tree.

Tempted by Satan they lost God’s grace

Revealing weakness to be punished by Thee.

Happy hearts prosper on what is truthful and good

Where dishonored ones fester and rot to the bone.

Life charts our course but God guides our way

As His wisdom and love become our own.

By Tom Zart Most Published Poet On The Web!

  • Pain and suffering is an opportunity and privilege of God to glorify him and see our true self and need of God's GRACE in developing either a Godly character, Godly nature and Godly understanding as we learn and make his ways our ways or PARISH with the EGO! Pain and suffering if responded to correctly CAUSES one to desire ONENESS with God who is LOVE! Rather than CONTROL!

  • @WITNESSMINISTRIES How can a little infant or baby dying of starvation in Africa glorify god??? I can understand what you say with adults, even if I don't believe what you say but children and babies suffering, really? they have to glorify god to stop suffering? you must be kidding.

  • @34roberees "Infant's and baby's dying of starvation in Africa and the like... Are doing so because of the selfishness of man living in unbelief and living for himself rather than in the kingdom of God! God desires us to love him in one another NOT VAIN man made religious traditions! "Unless a man be BORN AGAIN he can NOT even see the KINGDOM of God!

  • @WITNESSMINISTRIES Why should innocent human beings pay for what you say? then god is not love, why should children pay for others not believing??? If god is just, love and powerful children who suffer would stop suffering.

  • Is this video under the usumption that eveyone who lived, who is now alive and who is to be born, heard of the Gospels? If not, how then can one come to God through suffering if he never hears about God?

  • @Mystikalman80 - Hey there! Watch the Ask Dr. Stanley segment:

Does God send good people to Hell if they have never heard of Jesus?

    watch?v=3tvjBQw3tZM

  • I need to start learning from my pain. I can't take any more!

  • @notcool98 - I know how you feel on a general level (about personal pain). I will pray for you!

  • @MelodyOfVision Thank you very much.

  • @MelodyOfVision A lot of people have been praying for me, and it seems like things are getting better! Thanks for the support :)

  • @notcool98 - Oh I'm so glad! We've got to watch out for each other. We're family after all! :o)

  • I have been searching for the truth about god for yeard now and I have heard convincing and unconvincing evidence on both sides.

  • @GrungeFlannel1990 - Hi there! The best thing to do is to go directly to God Himself and ask Him to prove His existence to you. He is more than eager to do it. That is how I got saved. I figured, if He was really real then He can answer my questions and prove Himself. I started reading the Bible and asking Him a lot of questions about what He had inspired and also a lot of requests too and He just started answering them - so much that it couldn't be coincidence anymore - God truly lives!

  • (cont'd) - Once you realize He is real, then you are posed with the question: Do you follow Him or not? I think that is the reason why many people don't want to know for sure whether He is real or not and why some actively fight hard to prove He isn't real. But I can honestly say that I'm glad to follow Him. It isn't always easy (yet possible by the Holy Spirit), but the rewards are so much greater than what you have to give up. God is awesome and He loves you! I hope you'll follow Him too!

  • God is Good all the time.....

  • @velsiearacan - So true! People will come to realize that once they get to know Him! I love Him very much!

  • Don't talk, Pray God Help Us All amen!

  • Then he is not all powerfull, you (he) is reffering to something that god can't do.

The fact that you have free will is a bad thing for an all knowing god. To allow the minimum possibility for suffering of his precious child hi is manevolent. And think about it, people suffer when they are cut in an hurracaine but not choose to be in one. So we must be thankfull that we didn't in a hurracaine but not blame him for other people dying.

    That is hypocresy.

  • @mexamexo8 - It's actually not a bad thing - for God to allow free will and still be able to work His will in it shows that He is a powerful God - a lot wiser and more creative than you thought. Also as have been mentioned before in the Bible as well as the testimony of many Christians who have suffered pain and loss, they grow stronger from it - the suffering is beneficial, not malevolent. I can testify to this too and I would not trade all the times I suffered for all the ease and good times.

  • Well, ok. But you can't make your character when you are dead, and besides if he want us to have a stronger character why not be consintent and make the world suffer EQUALLY, and that doesn't change the fact that this guy is telling us that we choose to suffer, which is not all cases for most people, HURRACAINE are nothing that we choose, and how many are you gonna give stronger character, when you kill so much, there is nothing to work with.

  • @mexamexo8 - You wrote a lot, but in a nut shell - This is why one should turn to God, because He is the only One who can save you. No one is guaranteed an easy pain-free life and most people cannot choose how they die - not even Christians. Innocent people do get killed in a variety of unfair ways - but if they are in Christ, they're safe. Death isn't the end for them - just the beginning!

  • this Video made my faith strong thanks

  • @superhumanrichy300 - Oh hey thank you for watching! Dr. Stanley is one of my favorite pastors. His sermons and explanations build up my faith too!

  • But is God not also part evil, for he created it?

  • @Yomama55125 - Evil isn't a thing that's created - it's choices creatures make that God defines as harmful or against God's precepts. For example in reference to the king of Tyre (and also to Satan),

    Ezekiel 28:15-16a

15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

    16 “ By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned;

Please study Ezekiel 28:11-19 for better clarity. Thanks for watching!

  • 3 John 1:2 KJV Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. That's the truth of the word!

1 john 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Now are you going to put the blame on God? Thinking God wants pain and suffering for your life in any form is against what he said and is blasphemy. attributing negative attributes to God.

  • @ITSMEBAYBEE - Are the verses you mentioned the only ones in the Bible? You've got to take the hard truths along with the easy ones as well. Jesus Himself did not have an easy life but faced much pain and suffering right up unto His death. If you really belong to God, you will face some pain and suffering sooner or later because often times it is the only way to grow in Christ, to know and understand Him in His suffering, and to become useful for the Kingdom of God.

  • Get to know the Lord for yourselves, through obedience and time spent with Him in prayer, study of His word and worship. Don't make things up in your minds, out of your own logic - they're limited and inferior to God's wisdom. Love Him and His truth and this will protect you from being deceived by Satan:

    2 Corinthians 4:4

4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

  • @ThePoweroftheGuitar - Not really. God allows evil, pain and suffering as Dr. Stanley has outlined here. There will come a day when He will put a stop to it. In the meantime, God has drawn a line and people have to make a choice where they stand on the issue. Do you want to remain a slave to sin or be set free of it to follow God. Find out for yourself and see that the Lord is worth giving up the pleasures of sin to be with Him. May God bless you!

  • Great Video! Thanks for sharing it! It is much needed in today's time.

  • For those of you wondering about those who have never heard the gospel, you might like to watch another Ask Dr. Stanley segment:

Does God send good people to Hell if they have never heard of Jesus?

    watch?v=3tvjBQw3tZM

    God bless you all!

  • The Lord is kind and fair, but people aren't. Some will come and try to portray God as cruel and unjust. It's not that they care about the tragedies that happen to man, it's that they don't want to follow God and don't want you to either. So don't be discouraged by them. God is the most wonderful person you can ever meet. If you come to truly know Him for who He is, you will want to love Him and follow Him!

Jeremiah 29:13 - You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

  • I noticed that people are coming on here and purposely rejecting God without knowing Him very much. I invite everyone to know the Lord.

    Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

  • @MelodyOfVision the lord also killed millions of people during the great flood, that is not very kind. How the people became corrupt anyway? was God giving up his all loving kindness, thanks lord for drowning the corrupt in that day, but also drowning inocent people on the catrina in your name I ... O no wait i just looked like a total nut, my bad.

  • @mexamexo8 - If you recall the story of Noah and the great flood, God gave them 120 years before the waters drowned most everyone - plenty of time to turn to Him. When many people die in some great catastrophe it isn't like God didn't warn them. There is evidence of God everywhere so people are without excuse. They just don't want to follow Him. Watch "Does God send good people to Hell if they've never heard of Jesus?" watch?v=3tvjBQw3tZM

  • @MelodyOfVision ok how was there a warning for catrina?

  • @mexamexo8 - Are you kidding me? The weather services were warning all the areas in Catrina's path a week ahead!

  • @MelodyOfVision yeah, THE WEATHER SERVIRCE invented by man

  • @mexamexo8 wrote: "yeah, THE WEATHER SERVIRCE invented by man"

*Sigh* Man, who is in turn, created by God. God also works through people as He chooses.

  • @mexamexo8

Catrina thats in New Orleans right?Where Mardi Grass takes place with all the naked women, homos, prostitutes and violent murders.

That was God's warning and what happened?Mardi gras and all the detestable activity was back in a few weeks.

Yeah people do have the right to do what they want as long as they dont make a public display of it and i don't have to see it or hear about it.But when they take their wickedness to the streets than God moves in and rightfully wipes them out.

  • I think the email question wasn't referring to why God allows PERSONAL pain and suffering, but why does he allow GLOBAL pain and suffering. For instance, why must almost 16,000 children die every day from starvation, when he could easily prevent it? Why did 200,000+ have to die in the Haitian earthquake?

  • @LockeXIII - Dr. Stanley did answer that in a way - when natural disaster hits, we learn about ourselves, how we react to those things. Natural disasters have occurred since the time Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, so we really shouldn't be surprised when they occur. It teaches us that we can't take life for granted. It's for that reason, we ought to be spiritually prepared to meet our Maker and help others to do so as well. Then death itself wouldn't be so tragic.

  • @MelodyOfVision

I just can't accept that thousands of innocents have to die to teach us not to take life for granted. I, and most others, already know that we can't take life for granted.

  • @LockeXIII - I don't think people realize that as you say they do. If they did, everyone would turn to Jesus and follow Him knowing how fragile life is and how we all must give an account of ourselves to Him. But that doesn't happen. Children go to heaven when they die, but those who've reached the age of accountability have to decide for themselves whether to follow God or not. For those who accept God, they can safely face death however God chooses to bring them home. For others...not so much.

  • @MelodyOfVision children go tho heaven when they die?? who says this? where is it written?

where is home? God chooses to end the lifes of individuals??!

  • @jazzzabout - 1) In Christian doctrine there is the age of accountability - when a person knows right from wrong (different age for everyone).

It's a big subject, but please look at:

The Age of Accountability and Why People Sin

    watch?v=uLr4Kcd5fx8

by Kerrigan Skelly (RefutingCalvinism) to start. It provides the scripture verses.

    2) Home is where God is! :o)

    3) We're all appointed once to die and then face judgment (Hebrews 9:27). How we die is up to God - how we deal with it is up to us.

  • @MelodyOfVision Please quote chapter and verse in the Bible about the "The age of accountability" cause it's not in there!

  • @cumbco - Just watch the video from Kerrigan that I listed. He provides the verses. Thanks for watching!

  • @MelodyOfVision the reason why people sin is because god invented sin or he gaves us the power to create it, what a nice guy.

  • @mexamexo8 - Sin exists because God gave us free will. Sin isn't something created but a choice that doesn't follow God. Anyway, you're blaming God to try to absolve yourself, but in the end when you stand before Him on judgement day, you're not going to be able to blame Him, because all your sins will be before you and you'll see that it is all really because you wanted to do those sins and not because of God.

And yeah, God is Love, but He's not a pushover.

  • @MelodyOfVision hey, here is a nice plan ¿how about neither good or evil to rule the lives? the entirity of the people will be saved, but apparently god wants to filter good and bad souls because he doesn't love them equally.

  • @mexamexo8 - Again, what are you basing this on? You're own ideas or from knowing God? You're just guessing again. The very reason why Jesus died for us is so that all of us have the opportunity to be saved. That is love for all - it's just that most people don't want want to be saved (fearing what they have to give up and not fully aware of the greater rewards in Christ) - and they can't blame God if they refuse to receive what God had done for them.

  • @MelodyOfVision so by experiencing natural disaster and possibly being a casualty of it we have a chance meeting our maker? don't you think this is a bit too far??

  • @jazzzabout - With God nothing is ever a chance though He is powerful enough to work with the free will in us. We are all destined to die (Hebrews 9:27) and then face God for judgment whether by seeming natural disaster or murderous intent of others, etc. The most important thing is to be ready for it. For me personally, I don't know how I'm going to die - it might be peaceful or it might be violent - I don't know. All I know is that I love God and want to end up with Him when it happens!

  • @MelodyOfVision god needs to be consintent with her choices, but wait that would make it predictable and somehow that is a bad thing.

God is very similar to .... I don't know, RANDOMNESS

  • @mexamexo8 - And you base this on what? Tell us since you think you have inside knowledge on God and His ways that His own followers don't know. Tell us how much time you spend with Him, how much you seek to know Him and to follow His ways (to put yourself in His shoes so to speak so that you can really understand Him). Because so far, you're just making things up. How would you like it if people went around saying the wrong things about you and got other people to hate you for no good reason?

  • @MelodyOfVision so god has to kill people to give us a lesson? why not put a school himself to teach all this instead of killing innocents to make a point?

  • @mexamexo8 - We live in a fallen world so natural disasters do occur - it is how we prepare for them and react when they happen that is important. So far, all you're doing is whining and blaming God for everything. That isn't helping anyone. It is best to give your life to God because if you should face an ending you weren't expecting - you're safe in Christ and will pass on from death to life. While you're alive God will make you into a godly person that is able to help and bless others.

  • @MelodyOfVision well i wouldn't need to blame god if he didn't exist, the reason why i don't go around blaming god is because i know is better to accept random things occur and we don't have to blame the sins, satan, god or any other thing, besides you also seem to blame god but for only good things, what will happen was cured from a coma but i don't thing god did it? will he punish me.

  • @mexamexo8 - But you DO blame God - look at your attitude toward Him!

When I wasn't a Christian, I didn't get upset when other people believed and followed Him. You know why? Because I genuinely didn't believe He existed. But people who get upset about Christianity and Christians believe God exists - why would someone be upset over someone who is not suppose to exist??? They just don't know want to follow Him so they blame Him for bad things to make a lame excuse so as not to follow Him.

  • @mexamexo8 - (cont'd) Moreover, my life was never easy. Following God, however, gives me a good attitude - especially when tragedy strikes.

You should try to get to know God for real and not make things up. Get to know God's personal love and care for you and why He died on the cross for you - because yes, you are not just some anonymous person in a sea of faces - He knows you. And you'll never hear Him make false accusations against you. Satan will, but never God.

  • @mexamexo8 - (cont'd, part 2) I also have a really good book titled "Friendship with God" by a wonderful Christian servant, Wayne Monbleau. It will help you to realize that God isn't the cruel person you're making Him out to be and the real reason why you exist - to build a deep and close fellowship with God. PM me and I'll mail a copy to you!

  • @mexamexo8 (cont'd part 3) - I think I have a friendship lock on my PMs, but let me know by commenting here if you'd like to get the book (free) and I'll PM you.

  • @LockeXIII try 1 john 5,19

  • @jazzzabout - I don't know who marked your comment as spam, but I unspammed it.

  • Awesome Vid.. thanks so much for sharing this..

  • @RedSmoky - Oh hey Bruce! I posted this because Dr. Stanley's explanation is so clear and to the point. Plus he really has a warm way of explaining things - he is my favorite pastor (although I don't agree with everything he teaches). Thank you for watching!

  • To have free will one must be able to take action that has no cause from nature or God. Therefore the concept of free will is incompatible with all what science is based on (if nothing can be proven science has no integrity) and undermines the concept of a God that is directly in control of the universe.

  • @thymefromti - Christianity isn't really about science and logic (the whole creation vs. evolution issue bores me and is a minor issue compared to the Gospel). This is why people who come into it within the framework of science and logic are unable to resolve the existence God in their minds. It is truly by faith. And only by faith can one see that God and free will can and does coexist.

  • Thanks for your reply MelodyOfVision. So if one does not have to verify one's faith with logic how does one reason with the misguided who don’t question their faith and who use the same argument?

  • @thymefromti - Sorry for the delay - national holiday this past weekend! Before Jesus was arrested and crucified, He comforted His disciples by telling them that He would not leave them as orphans, that He would send them the Holy Spirit: John 14:26 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." So he is the one that verifies our faith & helps us to defend it in regard to the misguided.

  • @MelodyOfVision what about trinity if this scripture is right?

  • @jazzzabout - Hi Jazz, I'm not sure what your question about the Trinity is, but the verse does reveal that the Trinity exists.

  • No, to me it's not hard to accept that god gives us free will, since I don't believe in god, and I have no problem accepting the consequences of my actions. Everything else just doesn't make sense. It sounds like wilfull slavery to me. I'm a man who doesn't want to surrender completely to anybody, but himself. I have self-esteem.

  • @emofacez - This doesn't have anything to do with self-esteem, but everything to do with the fact that we are never truly free people: you are either a slave to sin or a slave to God. Thankfully, you have a choice as to who your master will be. Having had both masters, I can testify that it is far better to be enslaved to God because there is true freedom and much blessing that accompanies such a life. You get none of that being enslaved to sin - just oppression, lies and eventual destruction.

  • This is all based on the assumption of the doctrine of free will. Within the sphere of your own beliefs, there is no free will, since god is all knowing, it manes he already has everything set up for us. So the choices we make are really his. So suffering doesn't come from our own choices so we can learn and grow and know that we're going the wrong way. If god is omniscient there is no free will, if he's not omniscient, then he's not god.

  • @emofacez - I know it can be hard to accept that God gives us free will because that means we have to accept responsibility for the choices we make - especially the wrong ones. The Gospel is definitely good news though because, while God never forces us to follow and obey Him, when we choose to do so and surrender completely to Him, then He enables us to do all that He commands us through the Holy Spirit. This demonstrates His omniscience as well as omnipotence as He works with our free will.
