  • the rc45 joey had was NOT superior it was getting very dated by 1999, the r1 jeffries had was the faster machine, joey won by skill alone on this one considering the bad start he had also.......

  • Yes it's true his bike was more superior...but not all the time,he worked his magic on the bikes himself and if you look at nearly any photo you'll find random bits on the bike that he had altered himself, like cardboard above the front wheel to induce better airflow to the radiator, wee things like that that made joey Dunlop who he was! But 26 tt wins and countless others doesn't just happen because you've a better bike

  • So many heroes and friends lostto the sport. RIP joey, DJ and Aidy!

  • Ja! A los 47 años de edad, que bolas y que maestro!!

Vivió y murió en el motociclismo...!viva el rey Joey Dunlop!

  • 4:19 muppet! what a race rip joey an david!

  • RC45 superbike engine was at the end of a very long development cycle. R1 was brand new and in a fairly mild state of tune ... I'd like to know what each motor was making on a dyno... I bet the RC45 was making 15-20 hp more...

Still a great ride from Dunlop, however.

  • @ShakotanFC it wouldn matter if u had of put dat man on a club 90,he would of smoked all ov them!!!the proper king of the mountain..still unbeaten an will stay dat way for long time!!!john mc guiness nearly done!!!

  • @B18dohc1 Joey was an incredible talent, for certain. But... McGuinness is nowhere near done. John deserves a tonne of credit too. Probably raced against stiffer competition than Dunlop. There were a number of years in the 80s where Joey's bike was far superior than his competition's... fact. Especially the early RC35 days.

  • amen to that :-)

  • i think the people r stupid because what if someone falls the bike is gonna end up crashing into them the fans are way to close to the action.

  • Commentary sums up Joey on the roads in 4 words "makes it look easy". True talent, the likes of which will never be seen again.

  • remember it well! was at a hole in the hedge between rushyhill and leathemstown, now a restricted area. the fun is gone! but safety for all must come first.

    RIP Joey.

  • you can see why he was the best

  • dave jefferies was a great rider believe, but should never of underestimated joey no matter how old he was at that point, joey would of done him at 80 he was a fool too say those things. RIP both

  • Great racing! I'm still amazing how the Kawasaki ZX-7 was the bulkiest bike but was able to handle so well at high speeds! Especially on this narrow track!

  • It's all been said before, Joey was, and still is the 'King of the Roads' RIP:)

  • rip joey!you wont be forgotten

i was at this grand prix i think it was the year owen mcnally crashed n died rip owen you will not be forgotten

  • the master

  • Joey is the King!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting.. pure class.

  • get on your nees for Mr Joey Dunlop

  • I'm not gonna compare motgp to this as its compleatly differ.

Joey's bike on the flying kilo sounds awesome, is the best souning bike i ever heard, absoulutly ringing its neck with perfect gearing. I am Yamaha fan and love r1s and r71's but the rc is some machine and prefare it to rc30's. joey beating them big 1's was a great achievment on a 750. I make this my favorite road race of all time. JD/DJ the big lad had some special, memorable momentents. My favorite, best road racers in the world.

  • 47 yrs old, and still grabbin handfuls of throttle...I love it.

RIP to both of these legends, racing is not the same without them.

  • JD vs DJ, great duel

  • remember yer man was 47, two legends, sadley missed..

  • motoGP guys are nuttin against these people...best riders on earth right there

  • Brilliant stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • 4* i remember it well

  • savage video

  • i think the superbike race in 1994 with mccallen joey and jason griffiths was the best race i ever saw round dundrod, but almost every race round dundrod is awesome, best circuit in the world.....

  • best race i ever seen, was at leathemstown that day

  • What a Race,What a man,The best Road Race ever,

  • Simply the best race i have ever seen, the crowd was fantastic, pure road racing at its best, we will never see their like again, r.i.p Joey and David

  • @lukesdaddy100 and Robert D

  • @lukesdaddy100
