This is NOT pointless. I live in N.Ireland and am constantly roaming in and out of UK & Ire networks, roaming charges are high. Google voice is only available in the US.

Tried simore silver with 3GS on Rogers network (Canada). No 3G abilities, slowed down to Edge. Switching was a pain and slow with 3.0 software, sometimes could not connect. Poor signal on both lines (probably due to loss of 3G network abilities). Installation tight, had to take phone apart. Worked otherwise, neat idea too bad I had to back out. Don't recommend.

you can use normal att sim in slot 1 and any other sim in slot 2. prepaid tmobile will work just fine.

why is that everytime i switched the sim 1 to sim 2 my edge network is working or using it up as i looked up on the usage and theres like 512kb or so... everytime i switch them?

hmm i dont know. But I noticed that when I switch from sim 1 to sim 2 my networks settings get reset. And when I use my TMobile sim i have to manually renter my edge settings. I know that I can modify some files in OS for the settings to stay there, but for now I am too lazy.

your number is stored in sim card. As long as you have 2 sim cards you have 2 Phone numbers assigned to them. You switch between them using sim menu in Settings. the menu will show up the minute you install dual sim adapter.

there is not much info out there on dual sim setup and its possibilities. But since you can switch between the cards using software i would imagine that there is a way to read both cards at the same time.

i got on ebay from zebracell. but i had to drill out my SIM tray for it to fit in. the chip was thicker than SIM and it was getting stuck.
