Regarding the whole lion king ripoff. The same can be said with nintendo of japan ripping one of their characters off of king kong (donkey kong). Everyone at some point rips off someone else. If everyone sued for plagurism ever company on the planet would be bankrupt.

The reason Disney hardly ever gets sued is because they're a huge company.

If the same thing had happened in reverse, (say, a Japanese animator ripped off of Lion King) Disney would have been out for blood.

I'm not saying that Disney is the only one who does this. They're just an excellent example of how larger companies can pretty much get away with this kind of ripoff (whereas, smaller companies usually get sued and go bankrupt).
