@stevetouchdownsmith dude I use a 525 that will pull more than a 527. We pull 2-7 ft tees across the butt all day up mountains. I watch 527's try to rock up all the time cause we have 3 of em of the shit I pull with a 525b with no chains like this flatlander on this video does on flat ground pulling short ass trees. We yank big ass logs all day in norcal so shut the fuck up. And on steep ass shit . If we can't get it up hill just go to the top and bail off and grab what you can grab on the way

Alright why in the hell are you guys using chains with no snow and on flat ground. Makes no sense to me. I run a 525 and we are on a hell of a lot steeper ground than you guys. Some of our landings are supposed to be yarder or helicopter landings but it's too slow so we just make our skid trails to the tops with cats and just bail off the top and hold on. Oh and we don't run chains until he have atleast a foot of snow or more on the ground. Damn flatlanders.

I say everyone that doesn't want the trees cut down should buy up all the timber land and when they are all broke from paying taxes on it and loggers out of work not being able to keep the economy going as much as they do, they will sell every bit of it for clearcutting, then we can sit back and make comments. Because it's all about where you can make the most money. Many mills are closed anyway, forcing trucks to haul longer distances.. And some mills takes hardwood, and some take softwood. Its all about what the market calls for.
