Isn't it obvious? As a child, Heihachi was enthusiastic about high views of cliffs and canyons. Unfortunately he was always careless/unlucky enough to slip and fall down taking many injuries yet somehow avoiding death. He pretty much spent his entire childhood falling and landing head first into rocks. This inevitably traumatized him and whenever he's at the edge of a cliff or in an airborne vehicle he feels the urge to throw a relative down into the sights. Therapy might help, Heihachi.
