i miss florida <3 and this beach brings back many membries like the bana bikes (the low bikes you could rent and ride around all day).... i also remember climbing on the swirling white things and sliding down :P

We`ve been 2 times last year in Fort Lauderdale (Best Western beach Hotel),F.L.Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in FL,we visited on our round trip a lot of places(Key West,Naples,Marco Island,Fort Myers,Dayton,Miami Beach...),but we decided next time to spend our holidays one more time in Fort Lauderdale...very good beach and not too much trouble as in Miami Beach !!!!

The strip is for tourists who get a little taste and think, "Oh, I want to live here!". When they do they find it's the same as everywhere else. Just more flat. Still have to go to work, grocery shop and pay bills, etc...
Just like everywherer else? So I suppose you'd love to come here to the midwest in the winter and spend your vacation in near 0 degree weather. Appreciate what you got! I can't even walk out the door without freezing. Even if you don't go outside much the chills stick with you a good part of the day. Then the summers are just as hot a humid as anywhere. You might still have to shop and pay bills, but you don't have to freeze your ass off while you're doing it!
Ftl beach sucks now....no culture anymore, Huge luxury condos and skyscrapers litter the skyline and block out the sun.
Close down all the nice tiki bars and put up storefront shopping. I live here and never go anymore...too many parking tickets!!

Fort Lauderdale is amazing, like my home away from home. i went there in april 2007 and dude, fell in love with it. i was in lauderdale by the sea, staying with my dad about a block away from the ocean. we walked to the ocean everyday. and omg i totally suggest this place to anyone. Primanti Bros is actually originally from Pittsburgh (where I lived before Fort Lauderdale), they opened up two in Fort Lauderdale one on the beach, and one on Oakland Park. I've been to them.

People never like what they have...Grass is always more green somewhere else...I for one would'nt complain about being a drive away from those beaches

This city is the most butiful pleace in the world ! I was there few times . I really like Fort Lauderdale . And regrettable i can't leave there .

Ftl beach sucks now....no culture anymore, Huge luxury condos and skyscrapers litter the skyline and block out the sun.

when I went to fort lauderdale 6 years ago there were not as so many people on the beach as there are today. It has changed. Congratulations lol

I used to live very close to the beach. My Mom used in the park nearby, and we used to come and see the Air and Sea show. Good times :)

worked and lived on that beach for a long, long time!! finally moved away and wont look back.... fun beautiful place to be, but the intricacies of living on that beach are a trip... not for the faint of heart, or liver.

i used to live in miami and i moved to plantation now.. miami beach is pretty cool except the difference is that the shore is far away.. ft. lauderdale beach's shore is like.. right there!

Fort Lauderdale beach sucks, nothing there but high-rises now. By 3pm the condos block out the sun. Not to mention the shrinking beach due the the annual beach erosion.

Fort Lauderdale is amazing, like my home away from home. i went there in april 2007 and dude, fell in love with it. i was in lauderdale by the sea, staying with my dad about a block away from the ocean. we walked to the ocean everyday. and omg i totally suggest this place to anyone. Has anyone been to the Fort Lauderdale Primanti Bros. pizza place?

I used to live in Fort Lauderdale, it is awesome.
Primanti Bros is actually originally from Pittsburgh (where I lived before Fort Lauderdale), they opened up two in Fort Lauderdale one on the beach, and one on Oakland Park. I've been to them.
I would love to move back to Fort Lauderdale though.

Born and raised in Lauderdale. Been here my whole life. It's the same as everywhere else. It's only "paradise" if you're from somewhere else... trust me.
