I shed a tear over this, I was and still claim my position of PFC in the 90th Inf Division 359th Reg Company B back in IL. I now live in CO and to this has given me a good hope of finding a good re-enacting group out here.
We love this part of the exhibition, really looking forward to the 6th this year and hope to see ya'll there again! We plan to have our Sonerai IIL done and there this year. Also, Ya'll did a great job on the DVD last year, we bought a copy at Odells here in Akron and have been working on promotions, I'm sure we will have a great turn out again this year! :)
ive seriosly been thinking of getting into reinactment of WWII i do a volonteer moutinman reinactment but where would the be the best place to get WWII reinactment ithems and where would i find a group
in that case, do TONS of research on Rangers and Airborne, narrow it down and then find a unit who portrays that, as you can see, I did 82nd Airborne, 504th PIR, and joined H. Co. once I joined my unit
i thought that it could have been a lot better...looked like they up against 5 german hiding behind a barricade with a PROPANE TANK propped against right in front of them.
These are blanks. However, since this is a public event, it is probably scripted, so I'm assuming that's how people know when they're hit. I prefer the "competition"-like events, however, where hits are based on an honor system, and the actions of the different sides are not scripted.
is this using BBs or something? or is it like all completely planned out? sorry if i sound like an idiot i just want to know how they know when they're hit
I know the German side is the Colorado Kampfgruppe (sp?) and the American side is primarily based out of Cheyenne, WY. This was filmed at the 2006 National Radial Engine Exhibition in Akron, Colorado. This year's NREE is Sept. 8th. For more info on the NREE, you can go to my channel and view a promo video about it. Hope to see everyone there!

I really love this hobby...
Where else can you collect machineguns, shoot them using blanks in public, and pretend for a day that you are back in time 65 years ago?
It's JUST PLAIN FUN.
