mililaniguy, I think that people on surfline were put off by the vid because of the burning of the ASP rule book. Many people who frequent surfline are industry folk. The ASP, directly or indirectly, is their bread and butter.

Also, the shot of him on a red bull jet ski with a red bull surfboard strapped to it while he's proudly drinking a red bull sends a collective shudder through the surfing underground. I think it's pretty ugly.

He surfs incredible, one of the best ever.

I don't understand why people on Surfline were hating on this vid. I think this is the best surf trailer edit I've ever seen! It's so polished, like it belongs on a hyped Hollywood trailer, and the cinematography looks outstanding.
