  • Your really good my dude

  • music to my ears. This should be on the radio. not lady gaga crap. great cover btw

  • LOVE the cover, but not crazy about the sound of your kick and snare, but whatever floats your boat!

  • I think I just fell in love with ur china...is it a Zildjian oriental??

  • The drums in the verse have nearly the same audio effect as the studio version. Great cover.

  • that was very nice pro

  • wheres the rest of the 5-piece kit you bought?

  • i hope you speak english xav, i was wondering i saw you had the pearl pedal. I have it too but im having trouble getting a nice sound out it. It sounds weak. Any suggestions?

  • @MrSoccer2324 well, it's really hard to say. Mine was really easy to use right away, I didn't have to tune it at all. To me, obviously it's all about springs tension and beaters ajustment, try different combinations untill you feel comfortable when you play. As for the sound, it s way more about the head you use and the pedal beater (wooden, plastic etc). More generaly, I've always tryeda lot of different tunings untill I was happy with it, I guess that's the best way to learn ;)

  • @Xavbarker

Thanks man for the advice. I think I'm going to tighten the springs and maybe use a wooden beater... i just really want that strong punch but the easy feel. Anyway thanks again, ill probably comment on your other videos haha

  • j'adore !

  • Very good , great video . See my videos , (BANDA TRAMPO) , of boituva . Comment if you like !

  • Just... Great

  • perfect

  • Awesome, I absolutely love all of your blink covers!

  • Aweeesome :)

How did you "change the sound" between 0:28 and 0:44 ? haha

  • @eleena111

He probably compressed the drum track when he was mixing it. Pretty sure thats how Travis go the effect too.

  • @eleena111 He turned the snare on. The throw-off was off the whole video. except for during chorus'

  • @chrometrees i think you mean turning OFF... you can't turn the snare off during a song you have to move the switch (i don't know how it called in US, i'm argentinian) and this guy doesn't move nothing, you can do that when you're mixing the finished song, i think that he re-recorded that part without the snare on and try to sync the two videos, so overall, it's rim shot, double, ghost notes and accents without the snare on, am i right xav?

  • @nouefexs2 i 'm sorry, SYNC THE TWO AUDIOS, not the videos.

  • you best!

  • @MrDonkeydong155 You said everything, the fact is that if you wanna learn the real song, watch Xav. But if you wanna learn the song and some tricks for a live performance or learn some drum fills, watch Cobus

  • You need to do I Won`t Be Home For Christmas cover again! please! :)

  • For some reason i like your films more than cobus! I bet its a good reason XD!!!

  • @cvcgac I like Cobus too - he is an unbelievably talented drummer. The thing is, though, is that if you are trying to learn the drum part for a song by watching one of Cobus' videos, its useless. He's all about flair and showing off (which obviously isn't always a bad thing). Xavier, however, sticks to the original drum parts and is alot more reliable for learning from. So while I personally like to watch Cobus' skills from time to time, if I actually want to learn something, then its Xav for me

  • @MrDonkeydong155

exactly. If I'm looking to see a good drum cover so I can learn it I go to Xav here. If I want to see a dude go nuts I go to Cobus. They're both great in their own way. Although I love it when Xav cuts loose like in his Rock Show cover.

  • 5th!
