  • @benjamoon ughhhh STOP SAYING UMMMMMMMMM FUCK!!

  • @motocrossgurl18 Should I use "uhhhh" instead? I hear it's the new "ummmm!"

  • does the imac has wireless connection

  • yup

  • Remake the video. Would be nice if these videos were more helpful and less hymming and hawwing. Not so much you, but others.

Also you are wrong, you CAN encrypt it with a mac. Can you also post how to set it up after you press your reset button.

  • hey yes PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remake this video because im having problems with mine

  • this video is bad

  • Thanks, your videos are really go- OH WAIT.

This video was done almost two years ago, in one take with no planning ahead of time. If you are going to criticize please make it constructive. Though I'm almost certain you are a troll.

Troll or not, please have a nice day.

  • im trying to have wireless for my mac and my xbox, i have a wireless adapter for the xbox, but my rounter only has one plug for an ethernet cable is there a way to still do this or do i i have to buy one with more then one?

  • the website does not work. PLZ HELP

  • What do mean the website doesn't work? Does it not load? Does the password not work? Please elaborate.

  • it wont load . i sit their for like 15 minutes and it doesn't load. What do i do?

  • Would you know anything about setting this up for a wii? Cause i had it set up for about an hour or so but now it doesn't work any more. It has something to do with the firewall according to the error message, but when i go to the website 192.168.1.1 it says the server stopped responding or it says the website is timed out. It works on my laptop just not on my wii. Is there another way to access the website?

  • My wii recognizes my network. Try restarting the router, if that doesn't work unplug it and wait a good 20 minutes or so and plug it back in. If that doesn't work, it could be that your router died. I had one die on me not to long ago.

  • Thanks man, but don't worry about it for now cause i'm gonna buy a mac one anyway. Thanks for the info.

  • does this work with any linksys on any mac

  • It should

  • I have a router (Airport Extreme) I also have the same linksys router as you. Is there any way that I can use both router on one internet connection?

    Thanks.

  • Yes but it may require another modem which may have to be registered by your ISP, or you could try doing it with a Bridge if you wanted to connect both networks so that computers on each one could communicate.

  • I can honestly say that I don't know the answer to this. I've done research on it and it is apparently an uncommon situation that very few people know the solution to.

All I can say is try combinations of the words. Password, Admin, ADMINISTRATOR, Administrator, and Pass. Try using each of these in the name and password fields as well as combinations with leaving some fields blank. Best of luck and if one works please notify me so I can use this for future reference.

  • do u live in lousiville?

  • nope, I did when this video was created. But I live in NJ now.

  • where can i get one and for how much

  • Best Buy

    Circuit City

and computer store should have linksys routers.

Cheapest Linksys at Best Buy is $60.

  • Yes you should be able to get internet on your psp. You should be able to setup the router with 10.3.9. I would ask one of the employees at the store just to make sure. Don't ask someone at the apple store since they will just point to the airport.

  • i had my windows computer... But i jus got my imac desktop every since my cellphone wont detect my wifi router?? why??

  • It could be that the wifi communicator in the cell phone isn't strong enough to detect the network from far away. Or it could be that your cel phone doesn't have the right type of card to communicate with a linksys router.

  • I have the linskys router just like yours. I have a mac. I can pick it up when i search for connection, it has no lock on it but i can't seem to connect to it. I have 2 other laptops in my house and only 1 will connect to it. But i don't have d CD for it again. So what you think I should do

  • uhh, if you are using a mac, then uhh get an airport extreme router and uhh install the cd that comes with it and uhh uhh......uhh.....uhh reinstall leopard and uhh.... drag your Macintosh HD icon to the trash and uhhh... uhhh

  • Airport Extreme is an over priced router, and not everyone is going to buy one for their mac, obviously, you can just look at the other positive comments.

  • YOu have comcast dont Ya?

  • Nope, I use insight communications. W00T! 10 mbps download... wait... that's not fast and only 1 mbps upload.

  • dude mine is already connected. i got da exact same router as u but for me it seems dat i will only connect to one laptop nor my mac or the other laptops in my house but i can pick it up on the system

  • Could you rephrase your question. The changes in or and nor kind of threw me off there. No offense to you it's just I don't understand your question.

  • no. You need a broadband internet subscription such as DSL. Also getting the router isn't free.

  • i ended up watching the other video first, but i just wanted to say thanks again anyway here and give you another 5-star rating.

  • Got it to work, Thanks alot. :)

  • Well.. I get everything connected correcly, But I cant get connected to the internet. It says connected to Local Area 3 or w\e.

    Can you help?

  • does the router have an ethernet cable going from it to the computer, another ethernet cable connecting the router and the modem, and both things are turned on? Also you do have to end the session of safari or firefox to get the internet working properly. You have to click and hold down on the symbol on your dock then you will get the option to quit of force quit. Click it. If you get force quit you may have to click on it twice.

  • OK,i connect the modem,i have to write on safari the IP adress of the modem without been connect while the modem is working! Can you please write the IP adress?

  • 192.168.1.1

  • Look what i have to do?I connect the modem with the dsl line then the charger and then the erthenet with imac-modem!Then you said in the settings,my imac isnt connect to the net!

  • it is, but you need to watch the second video. Then you will have a fully functional wifi network. I do show how to change a setting in this video that does deactivate the wifi network. Which is what I did because I didn't know how to secure it yet. You have a wifi network the moment that you plug in the router with the modem and restart the modem.

  • I bought yesterday the 3.06 ghz IMAC and a wiereless modem/router linksys!I put the cd nothing happens! What i have to do?Connect ethernet with imac-router and then where i click for changing the settings?

  • you obviously didn't watch the video. I mention in the video that the disk doesn't work with the MAC OS.

  • also how to set up the router with a functioning wifi network. In the video response I tell you how to secure the network.

  • dsl works

  • do i need high speed cable internet for this to work, or will dsl suffice?

  • Yes it is possible. If you are talking about a linksys router, the software is not needed, but you can go ahead and install it to the hardwired vista computer. Since it does not work with OS X

  • Dude, great video, showed me everything I needed and it works great.

  • thanks! you just saved me 50 bucks for installation charge!

  • You can use encryption... under wireless security I use psk2 personal as the security mode and tkip and aes as encryption. All with a key renewal of 3600

  • thanks I've beenplaying with the settings to get it to work. so thanks for telling me how it's done

  • will the linksys work with macbook

  • If you have the router wireless capabilities turned on then yes the wifi should work with any apple product. I periodically use it with my iPhone. If you want to keep the wifi turned off then plug your macbook into the router with a ethernet cable and it will work.

  • so you are using comcast high speed internet?

so you just hook that up to your motorola modem then just and ethernet cable to that

  • No I use Cable. But it doesn't matter what internet you use. Also yes that is what you do.

  • comcast is cable.

no lie but my neighbor is going to let me use her internet(no configurations or passwordS?) and she gave me the cable so all i do is just plug that into a modem i have internet? justt making sure sorry for taking your time.

  • yup don't forget to restart the modem when you plug in the computer. Also I was glad I could help.

  • Thank you so much. I was a lil confused with the whole setup process ... but u saved my life :-)

  • I'm sorry but I forgot a step. If it asks you for a password to access the website the password is admin.

  • The only way that you can set up something like router that isn't wireless is by setting up a hub. Which unfortunately only connects through USB. I'm not sure but it should come with an instructional DVD for the computer. The way to fix the problem with not being able to access the internet with XP is because the settings are set to 2000 so try and change it. If you can't (which wouldn't shock me at all since it's Windows.) Then you may have to get a new one. I hope this helped.
