It was not US who broke the Germans and "Japs" backs. Your lack of education is pretty insulting since you are British.
US did not advance once without the British alongside them.. except in N.Africa at Lahreen, but the Germans routed the American forces 60 miles in the opposite direction.
Britain was far the most effective country in the War, stopping the Germans from getting fuel and destroying all of the Air Force.

So in a way America did create the A-bomb, but so did Britain and Canada.

You went to the French because you realised you weren't strong enough to go it along with the british military and Navy;. The British creamed the Americans on virtually every battle field we met them on. The French helped you out BIG time. Historical facts.

US did not advance once without the British alongside them.. except in N.Africa at Lahreen, but the Germans routed the American forces 60 miles in the opposite direction.
Britain was far the most effective country in the War, stopping the Germans from getting fuel and destroying all of the Air Force.

So in a way America did create the A-bomb, but so did Britain and Canada.
I would prefer to say Britain,Canada and America created the A-bomb.

Whats the point of supplying weapons to Britain if Britain wouldnt be in the war? there would be no way the US could defeat Japan and Germany at the same time. The US needed Britain as much as Britain needed the US.

And the Japanese alone gave the US a hard time, and you have to remember, it was the A-bomb that ended the war, without it there is no telling who woulve won between the US and the Japanese. So the US alone against Germany and Japan is an almost certain defeat for the US, unless they could by some miracle manage to finish the A-bomb despite lack of resources due to invading forces.

The US victory in the war against Japan was almost there its just either invade the mainland and waste more lives on both sides (which the Japanese couldnt recooperate after they've lost their entire empire and had nothing to help them win with no oil left for them and starvation etc) or drop the atomic bomb. The US did almost just as much in Europe remember D-Day? Or the Battle of the Bulge? Basically all of France? and Italy? Yeah. (Although the british were there too)

@Westmoon67 In terms of war effort Britain did a lot more than the USA, its just the USA arrived last and did do a substantial amount, and was a necessity to win the war, that is why everyone says "USA won the war". But if Britain hadnt started in the beginning, the USA wouldnt have won at all. Same goes for Russia, without Russia, the allies lose. Without Britain, the allies lose. Without the USA, the allies lose. Yet everyone says "USA won the war" Its very annoying.

Britain and her colonial allies could of finished the job just would of took longer. British and her colonial allies held N.Africa, the Nazi's could not gain oil which meant in future they was going to run out of fuel, no fuel = no tanks,planes,bombs.
Also we destroyed the NAZI Air force. It was Britain that did the most substantial work in WW1 and WW2.
USA only entered the war when Germany declared war on them in 1941, otherwise Britain would of done the job.

All our debt to America regarding resources have since been paid back. America joined is after pearl harbour in 41 and 'helped' secure victory. Britain stood alone when the French surrendered (again) and our shores were never invaded (last time 1066) hundreds of years before USA. Who asked for help in Vietnam ? We said nah! You went to the French because you realised you weren't strong enough to go it along with the british military and Navy;. This again is why the French came in King Louis of France wasn't going to sent French troops into a battle where it seemed as lost. Once the Americans started winning battles on their own it's when France came in. Much to the delight of the Contanials.
